Qué harás

We will meet at the main square, in front of the Name of Mary Church (famous "Katedrala") favorite meeting place for all citizens of Novi Sad. After short introduce, and story about city center, we will see all landmarks in walking area (city hall, Serbian National Theatre, Synagogue, "Zmaj Jovina" street, Saint George's orthodox church, famous "Dunvska" street...). Then we'll approach to the Danube and see, hidden "broken bridges" gallery, then monument of famous musician Janika Balaz, and monument dedicated to WWII victims called "The Family". When we cross the Danube, we'll discover a lot of hidden places inside the Petrovaradin fortress. After the basic story and some more Novi Sad landmarks (clock tower, bridges, beautiful panorama...). we will visit some of the artists ateliers, or tapestry making school. At the end, we can have a drink at the famous, but hidden "Dublin" pub, or take some sweets at pastry shop.
Other things to note
If you are not sure where the meeting place is, ask anybody where the Cathedral is. Near the cathedral entrance is a big red post box.

I'm school professor, and I love to teach or show interesting things. I'm also a tourist guide who really like Novi Sad, my home town. I want to show a lot of interesting things, and some hidden and exciting places.

Nikola was excellent! I made a mistake in my arrival and Nikola accommodated to my time. He’s very friendly and easy to talk to. Nikola also did a superb job explaining the details of some of Novi Sad’s landmark. Thank you Nikola for everything!

City walk with Nikola was very nice, we learned a lot about history of Novi Sad as well as whole Vojvodina and Serbia. During our walk we took a rest for warm tea in cosy café and then continued to the fortress. Nikola very kindly answered all our questions and has great knowledge about this city. We enjoyed the tour a lot and were happy that for once didn't have to look into map. 😊

Great introduction to the city and provided useful launching off point for further exploration. Didn’t feel rushed though we covered a lot of terrain and left me impressed with range of architecture in such compact area. Petrovardin Fortress has lots of delightful artistic displays which Nikola was very well versed in.

Nikola was a wonderful guide showing us the essentials of Novi Sad! He told us the history and stories and even gave us tips on the best places to eat. We stopped at a pastry shop at the end which was absolutely delicious. Nikola even accommodated a date change due to heavy rains and wind the day our tour was scheduled so we moved it to the next day when it was sunny. THANK YOU!

It was a wonderful experience. The excursion lasted about 4 hours. After we went around the city center, the weather started to get worse and it started to rain. Nikola suggested to take his car to go to the fortress. Nikola told us about the life in Novi Sad, about culture, history and traditions. He also gave many unique tips. Moreover, my Chinese friend was with me, which I warned Nikola about in advance and asked him to prepare some material in Chinese if possible. We were so grateful and surprised when Nikola brought his friend Tina, who speaks Chinese and was able to help my Chinese friend understand all the information. 我要感谢吉娜和尼克哦啦。吉娜是尼克哦啦的朋友。她会说汉语。游览是好厉害! 会看很多有名的景点。我很满意。 谢谢你们!
