Qué harás

At the arrival I will offer you breakfast, and I will give you a lab coat and a cap for the access to the production area. I’ll bring you along a complete tour to discover all the steps of Parmigiano Reggiano’s production. We’ll see where the animals are bred and where the milk is mould. We’ll go into the cheese factory during milk processing and we'll witness in cooking and making cheese wheels. We’ll see then the process of salting and maturing up to enter the huge “caveau”, where thousands of cheeses wheels are guarded and laid out in long rows in the silent maturation rooms and where the scent of cheese will smell so nice and exciting that we won’t be able to resist till the final tasting of cheese and local typical products.

I’m deeply connected to my roots. My grandpa was a producer of Parmigiano so as a child I could learn all the secrets of this cheese. We will see the places I have lived since I was a child, where my uncle still produces this cheese with the same passion that we share.I love conveying my knowledge to people from other countries, which I try to share the culture and traditions of my homeland with.

We didn't do enough research when booking our accommodation, and ended up needing to drive 3 hours ( in the early morning) to do this tour, and it was absolutely worth it! Claudio was so welcoming and you can see that he has such pride and passion for what he does. We met the other people for the tour, and enjoyed coffee and traditional Italian breakfast pastries while Claudio told us about his family and their history making reggiano. We drove a short way to the factory to watch the master cheesemaker and his assistants at work and learned about the fascinating process from start to finish. It was so informative and really, really interesting. Claudio was an exceptional host; funny, knowledgeable, welcoming and made the whole experience fantastic. We also met the cows who produce the milk, and then had a chance to taste some of the fantastic cheese, and wine and aged balsamic vinegar produced onsite as well. The tour also included a large piece of Reggiano for each of us to take home! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour to everyone ( except vegans, obviously) ; it is worth driving 3 hours for! We loved this tour! Claudio was so warm and welcoming. He was funny and walked us through the whole process really well. He is clearly so knowledgeable and passionate and it's fun to learn from him. Highly recommend this experience!

Claudio was amazing! From picking us up at the station to letting us hold the cheese wheel to all the tasty treats at the end. Can’t imagine a better way of learning about the region and our favorite cheese! 10 stars!

Claudio’s tour was both incredibly informative and wildly entertaining. His passion for the products his family has made for generations is genuine and immediately apparent. While Claudio walks his guests through each process with in-depth explanations, it never felt excessive and he made sure to give us time to really enjoy the experience on our own. We can confidently say that this was one of the highlights of our honeymoon and would highly recommend the tour for all those interested in learning more about Parmigiano-Reggiano!

Claudio was such a pleasure to spend the morning with! I figured it should be a good tour based on the previous reviews but he made it so special. He walked us through all of the details in making the cheese, all with a sense of humor. We went and saw the cows and actually saw a calf that just been born minutes ago. I highly recommend this tour with a very dynamic and interesting guide.

This was a fantastic outing and so glad we visited. Quite special as Claudio describes this multiple generation business where the passion is palatable.
