Cabin was exactly as described, tucked in a peaceful setting while also only a short drive to the center of Franz Joseph. Check-in and check-out were incredibly easy and efficient, which was very helpful since we arrived a bit late and left a bit early. The cabin is cozy, but great size for our family of four. Thanks for hosting us. Would highly recommend.

The place was a cute little place that was in an excellent location. It was handy to have a small kitchen & mini fridge to make easy meals. The bathroom was large and nicely decorated. We really loved the hot tub and sauna. The area felt like a spa.

The hut was spotless, beautifully designed & equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Thoughtful touches, such as cozy furnishings & well-placed amenities, made us feel right at home. The location was perfect—peaceful yet conveniently close to local attractions. Waking up to breathtaking views was a highlight & enjoying our morning coffee in such a tranquil setting was truly refreshing. The outdoor space was equally delightful, offering a great spot to unwind & take in the natural beauty. Judith was an exceptional host, providing clear communication & ensuring we had everything we needed. Her attention to detail & genuine hospitality made our experience even more special. Cosy wee cottage which felt like stepping into the past- full of interesting old timey stuff (including some very amusing books!) Has a fire which keeps the place warm and and outdoor bath which takes a bit of effort to get going but well worth it. Hosts were welcoming and very responsive and helpful. The location of Harihari is great for seeing the West Coast as it’s right between Hokitika and Franz Josef. So there’s heaps to see- gorgeous walks, forests, river and beaches. Highlight was the hidden away hot springs very close by. Overall very much recommend :)

A beautiful little chalet, clean, comfortable and the right mix of modern and classic. It was quiet and peaceful. Great to have access to a sauna and spa. Lovely location. The house is lovely. It doesn’t have a washer and dryer but you can pay for one that is available to others. Would be nice if they gave you a voucher for use as you are paying a premium for staying at the house. Other than that, would recommend to others to stay here.

Great place to stay if you are wandering down the Haast or wanting to chill out for a while. Very close to the Franz Joseph township for your evening meals or for taking a helicopter ride up into the surrounding mountains if that’s your fancy. Cottage is very peaceful at night as you are off the main road a little bit and has a great view out the front window… Enjoy 😊

Place was so awesome! Nice clean, good space for 3 adults and 2 infants. There was some fresh eggs, fresh milk and mandarins! It was so amazing. As it's farm, in the morning me and my kid could see milking cow, some ducks and chickens with chicks. Shame that we couldn't stay one more day. I really recommend this place.

we had expected a cozy apartment but the actual suite in the Rainforest Retreat was even better. We had been upgraded to a bigger apartment with an outside jacuzzi. Very comfortable, well laid-out spaces, everything in excellent condition. You could not ask for more.

Sinead’s place was great! Very cute rainforest retreat with stunning views of the mountains and glaciers. Have rooms that are more hotel style to more deluxe and private. Walkable to all the restaurants and bars in town.

Great stay, very spacious. The home was as listed. Perfect place for a bigger group. The house was clean, all amenities worked well. Beautiful surroundings in a peaceful atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.

Loved our stay!! Beautiful surroundings and very cozy and clean room. Breakfast was delicious, and Trish was super helpful with local tips and recommendations. Also loved getting to see and feed the farm animals!!

A spacious home with a lovely setting, with plenty of space to spread out. Easy walking distance to the center with a good selection of restaurants. A variety of excellent walking trails are within a short distance by car and well worth doing. We really enjoyed our stay.

We loved staying at Trish’s place. Very friendly host. We enjoyed the local walks, restaurants and the breakfast was beautiful - a rare, true, bnb experience.

Comfortable cottage with a priceless view! Beautiful in the daytime and gorgeous dark sky at night. Warm and comfortable, I definitely recommend.
