Chathura’s place is very close to the beach around 8 mnts walking from turtle beach , the famous Hikkaduwa beach is also within walking proximity . The AC can keep you cool in summer & they have kitchen along with basic equipment’s as well . Size of room is decent enough . Free Washing machine is a big plus point , they provide detergent as well. Now the Host Chathura is an amazing fellow , He is a great host with super supportive nature , he greets us with cinnamon Tea & provide all necessary information about the vicinity. He also gave 5% discount for the Water Jars . The biggest Pros I would say is His smile & helping nature as a host . I would definitely recommend him with blind 👁️.

Мы провели в этом доме целый месяц и остались в восторге! Просторный, уютный, с прекрасной чилл-зоной у реки, где можно расслабиться и насладиться природой. Особенно понравилась крыша – идеальное место для занятий йогой. Кухня полностью оборудована, так что готовить было удобно. Кровати в спальнях комфортные, спалось отлично. До пляжа всего 5-7 минут пешком, а до серф-спота в Велигаме – около 25 минут. В целом, это был замечательный опыт, и мы благодарны хозяевам за гостеприимство!

Сама вилла отличная, 4 просторные спальни, больше ухоженная территория, бассеин, за которым ухаживают каждое утро. Уборка дома проводилась через день, со сменой полотенец. На кухне есть все что нужно, посуда, костром сковородки, по прибытию были Яица молоко соль масло. Также есть стиральная машина. Из минусов: мы были с середины до конца апреля 2025 года, начался не сезон были очень сильные волны и наш пляж совершенно не соответствовал нашим ожиданиям, сразу после ступенек был не песок, как мы видели на фото а огромные глыбы камней, под которыми бушует океан, тоесть чтобы спуститься к морю нужно идти по этим камням в право вил 6. Мы были с 3 детьми и для нас это было очень проблематично. Поговорив с персоналом нам объяснили что в это время так всегда , идет отлив и песок уходит, потом возвращается. Вывод вилла отличная но рекомендуется к посещению в сезон Отдельно хочу отметить водителя(он же мыл бассейн по утрам) возил нас везде, был очень терпелив.

It was a pleasure to stay here. We had everything we needed. Nihal helped a lot: with transfers, sightseeing, food, house, etc. We didn't have any problems. He's a great host! I highly recommend it!

We had a Honey moon and New Year in Akain villa. The villa is situated very close to the ocean. We prefer to see sunsets at the beach. The owners are very kind and friendly people. They help us, brought everything what we need. In the eve of New Year Candy and Lakmina organized unforgettable beach party with national food and fireworks for their guests! There is 20 minutes to the fish market by foot. Every Saturday there is the market not far from the villa. We have wonderful time in this house.

Wunderschön renovierte Villa direkt an einem einsamen Strand gelegen. Nach hinten raus somit mehr als großartig .Wenn man bis zu Nase in den Pool eintaucht ,verschmilzt dieser mit dem dahinter gelegenen Meer 🤍.Sie liegt aber direkt an einer Straße und wenn man im Garten ist ,hört man dieses auch.(Hat uns aber nicht sonderlich gestört.Bei uns hatte aber ein Geschäft auf der anderen Seite eröffnet und der beschallte uns einen Tag mit vielleicht etwas lauter Musik 🙈) Wir nutzten die Villa am Ende unserer Reise um etwas zu entspannen. Daher ideal für uns gelegen und somit nicht schlimm,dass die Gegend touristisch nicht ganz so erschlossen ist. Morgens wir ein inkludiertes Villa Frühstück angeboten und wir hatten Barbecue und Curry bestellen können. Die Jungs waren immer extrem freundlich und quasi auf „Knopfdruck“für uns da.Sie sprachen zwar kaum Englisch ,dafür war der Manager der Villa ,Sampath,immer per Handy erreichbar und extrem hilfsbereit. Wir können die Villa sehr empfehlen .

Unser Aufenthalt in Hikkaduwa war – wie auch schon bei unseren früheren Besuchen – einfach unvergesslich! Wir haben nun schon mehrfach bei dieser wundervollen Gastgeberfamilie übernachtet und wurden jedes Mal aufs Neue herzlich empfangen. Die Lage ist perfekt – nur wenige Minuten vom Strand entfernt, und mit dem Tuk-Tuk ist man in Windeseile im Ort. Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich hilfsbereit, freundlich und bemüht, den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Die gemütliche und herzliche Atmosphäre lässt uns jedes Mal wie zu Hause fühlen. Auf Wunsch konnten wir erneut das fantastische Essen der Gastgeber genießen – und es war wieder einmal das Beste, das wir in ganz Sri Lanka hatten! Frisch, liebevoll zubereitet und einfach köstlich. Besonders die Macaroni with Seafood sind jedes Mal ein Highlight! Eine absolute Empfehlung für alle, die nach einem entspannten und authentischen Aufenthalt in Hikkaduwa suchen. Wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal! 😊

super leuk plekje om even voor jezelf te hebben. Even tijd voor jezelf terwijl je dicht bij het centrum van zowel Weligama als Mirissa zit. Beide zijn met een tuktuk of bus gemakkelijk te bereiken binnen 10 min. Sahan was super vriendelijk en ook zijn vader hielp ons goed naar al onze wensen. Het huis was schoon en sfeervol. De kamers waren ruim, het zwembad was super en werd iedere dag schoongemaakt.

We had a wonderful stay at Catherine’s cottage. Location was good; walkable to the beach. It is hard to fully explain just how spacious the cottage is - every room is large and well thought out, even the outside veranda is enormous. The children loved the little pool, it was absolutely perfect to end our Sri Lankan adventure. Thank you.

Wow.....We stayed for our winter break for two months and it was fantastic. The villa, although a little quirky was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, the outside areas were fantastic, really good pool and beutifully kept gardens, with direct access to the beach and nearby restaurants. Gievs was always on hand to give us local information and to resolve any problems that occurred. Having problems reaching the beach due to the sand retracting with the tide he organised wooden steps to make our access easier within day....fantastic. The biggest joy of our stay was the house manager...Sadika who was always on hand to keep the villa pristinely clean and serve the best gin and tonics in Sri Lanka. his mother would come and cook our meals if we wished and honestly, her food was outstanding, beating most restaurant standards in the area. His Father would maintain the gardens to a high standard and was a joy to chat to. What a lovely family Staying in proximity of Galle, stay here,unbe

Our stay at Wigis villa was wonderful. The villa itself is located in a perfect spot allowing you immediate access to the beach as well as the Main Street with all its cafes, shops and restaurants, on the other side. The villa is a haven of tranquility, in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the town. Inside, the house is fully equipped and very well kept. The garden was beautiful and our children had many hours of fun in the lovely pool. Lastly what really made it great was the excellent team on hand. The team prepared beautiful breakfasts each day, together with lunch and dinners on request. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We hope to be back!

If you’re looking for a private beach with the ocean, this is the place for you! Far from popular tourist spots, you’ll find peace and tranquility here. There are several oceanfront restaurants nearby. The staff is attentive, and excellent breakfasts were included!

Good place for family holidays. They have a chef who will plate some amazing food.

Die Unterkunft hat eine traumhafte Lage direkt an einem menschleeren Strand! Auch die Anlage der Unterkunft ist sehr schön gestaltet und läd dazu ein, sich dort aufzuhalten. Wirklich eine besondere und einzigartig gestaltete Bleibe!

Our stay at this little Airbnb paradise was absolutely delightful! Tucked away next to the serene river, yet conveniently walkable from the center and restaurants, it offered the perfect blend of tranquility and convenience. The cottage itself was cozy and beautifully decorated, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Everything was very clean and tidy. And with the beach and surf shops just a few minutes away, making it easy for us to enjoy the sun, sand, and waves whenever we pleased. Hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful, offering great recommendations for local activities and ensuring that our stay was nothing short of perfect. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better stay in Weligama. Whether you're a beach lover, a nature enthusiast, or simply seeking a cozy hideaway, this little cottage is the ideal choice. We're already dreaming of our next visit!

Dilhan and his family welcomed us warmly from the start. We were well looked after and had people to contact around the clock. The apartment is clean and as shown in the pictures. Unfortunately, the apartment is opposite a very noisy street, but after the first few days this didn't bother us anymore and we were able to sleep well at night in the comfortable beds with earplugs. The apartment also has no hot water, but that didn't bother us at all in 30 degree heat. There is a bus stop right outside the front door from which you can get directly to Ahangama and Mirissa for little money. There is no air conditioning, but there is a powerful fan in every room. We highly recommend the accommodation and really felt very comfortable during our two weeks of stay :)

I stayed for two weeks at this beachfront villa in Ambalangoda, and it was an incredible experience. The villa is spacious, with large rooms and plenty of space to relax. Having a parking area was a huge advantage, especially for my rented motorcycle. Denuka, the host, was extremely helpful and responsive. He quickly addressed my requests via WP and ensured a smooth stay. Another highlight was Denuka’s uncle, who spends most of the day near the swing in the front yard. He is incredibly kind and always ready to help whenever needed. Exploring the surroundings by motorcycle was a fantastic experience—I highly recommend it. Overall, this villa is a great choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and scenic getaway. I would definitely stay here again!

Some of the reviews here made me second guess my booking, but you can't always rely on what you read. That said I LOVED my stay here, it was heaven on earth literally ON the beach. I am traveling through SL solo and this place was a dream, Ravi was so helpful and accommodating, he and I got along very well, (yes he is a bit rough around the edges) but you can't always judge a book by its cover. Ravi went out of his way to make me feel welcomed. Erich was amazing as well, his communicaiton was excellent, very responsive. Points: Make sure you discuss price upfront before anything. My only complaint is that Ravi had a bag of laundry done for me and the next day charged me $40 USD!!!! I was floored. I had two bags of laundry done a few days later for $6.50 USD wishing you both all the success ( I have already told 3 people to book with you when they get down South) I hope they do!

We had a wonderful family stay at the villa which was made all the more enjoyable by the excellent care and service provided by the villa staff especially Mervin. Would love to come back.

War erst mal etwas schwierig zu finden, aber einfach der Beschilderung folgen. Echt toller Ausblick, gemütliches Zimmer. War ein toller Aufenthalt für die ersten Tage. 😌

Kosala and his Family were so welcoming to us ! Our children played with his daughters, we felt very at Home.. he was also caring much about keeping our Place clean and comfortable. We are definitely going to miss them! Only one side down was that, even if the location it’s great , meaning you have great restaurants, surf schools , everything is close by, the streets are very loud , you can hear them all day and night. Other than this we are totally coming back to stay with Kosala and his family ! Thank you!!
