Our 1959-vintage caravan is just 12ft long, best for a couple or two friends. At a pinch, two children could sleep in the king single bed; see the photos and description further down. Wake up to the sounds of Lyrebirds, enjoy a private walk in our rainforest gully and stroll around the garden, one of the best private gardens in the Dandenongs. Offering a minimum one-night stay for a quick getaway, or stay longer & enjoy the peace, sit by the fire - made from a beer keg, and roast marshmallows.

The Beached Van

The Beached Van has come to rest in a private space amongst the Moonah trees at the back of our coastal landscaped garden. From your off street parking space a path leads to the renovated 1970’s caravan with all the creature comforts. The van has a queen bed, lounge area and kitchenette and a relaxed, coastal style. It is sheltered under a veranda with a deck area for lounging, a patio heater and BBQ. Stairs through the garden lead to the luxurious bathroom with floor heating and a big bath tub.

Valerie the Van is a vintage caravan from the 1970's, renovated for your comfort, but keeping the 1970's style. She comfortably sleeps 2 adults and 1 child. Valerie is fully off grid. Get back to basics in comfort and enjoy the tranquility and native animals of our bush property. Valerie uses solar for lights, diesel heating to keep you warm and gas for cooking. There is no fridge but we provide you with an esky. No electrical appliances can be used. The bathroom is outside.
