Our cozy guest cottage has easy beachfront/kayak/canoe access (if you bring your own) and is located very close (within walking distance at low tide) to the public boat launch for larger boats. Great location to explore Deer Isle, Acadia (approx 1hr), Castine (45m), and the Bangor (1hr) area. Brave children and adults even swim from the beach but comfortable swimming ponds/lakes are 10m in several directions. The hot-tub is open year-round! Additional guests can be considered prior to booking.

The Cottage

A rustic cottage in the middle of Darthia Farm. The farm sits along the shore of West Bay and a short trail brings you from the cottage to the salt water. We grow organic mixed veggies and fruit, raise sheep, ducks, chickens, pigs, and work with Haflinger horses. Our farm store that is open everyday except Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The property is 15 minutes away from the Schoodic Section of Acadia and is surronded is by countless hiking trails and access to fresh and salt water.

The Maine Getaway - Lakefront with Beach

If you are looking for a place to get away and relax, our house on Molasses Pond may be a good fit for you/your family. It is a hidden gem down a dirt road away from hustle and bustle. Peace and quiet is what you’ll find, along with a gorgeous view. It’s a great place for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, grilling, fishing, and laying on the hammock. If you can tear yourself away from the splendor outside your door, Acadia National Park, Mount Desert Island and the scenic Schoodic Peninsula are just 30 minutes away.

Long Cove Hideaway

Escape the tourist madness of Bar Harbor at your own private tidal cove. Camp with the comforts of home, water, power and Wifi. Outdoor grill, awning and lobster cooker for the complete Maine experience. After a hard day of hiking relax by fire pit. The Schoodic National Scenic Byway is on the far side of Long Cove, and you can hear some traffic noise from outside the RV, but for complete silence check out my other two places by looking at "about me" on my profile.

Meadow Point cottage is located on a very quiet five acre property with panoramic views of Frenchman's Bay and Mount Desert Island. It takes about thirty minutes to drive over to MDI and Acadia National Park. The property has a private beach for kayaking and woods with a picnic area and fire pit. It is a wonderful spot for walking and viewing wildlife; ducks, eagles, shore birds, seals and deer.
