Our stay was lovely. Hope to stay again!

We loved the open layout of the kitchen, dining room, and living room! Was so fun for our group of 6 to cook and watch movies. Olivia was a great host and the house was comfortable. Beds specifically were very comfy! Close enough to walk to the beach, nice even during the winter.

Nice cozy cottage one block from the beach.. spent many hours walking the beach and found many beautiful shells and sea glass on our walks. Cozy cottage perfect for us and our dog in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood.

This place was like a luxury car with all the bells and whistles. Amongst the best experiences. A clean sanctuary. It even had bluetooth speakers in the kitchen and bathroom light fixtures. This was absolutely as clean as, but definitely not, your grandma's house.

You are immersed in a neighborhood here, with a friendly and professional host living next door. Lots of local eateries rather than chains, and good proximity to Atlantic Highlands, Sandy Hook and Sea Bright. Reminds me of my childhood summers at the Jersey Shore. The place is small but clean and well thought-out from the guest point of view.

You will be surprised to be able to see the sunrise from your bedroom, have cocktails on a little beach on the brackish Shrewsbury River with windsurfers trying their luck, walk to Bahr's seafood resto or Proving Ground tavern with good beer and food and views -- great location and quiet at night and interesting to watch clammers ride out in their little boats in the morning.

What can you say that hasn't been already said by previous reviewers. John's house in Freeport is a gem. Perfect getway for weekend for our family. We were greeted by a nice bottle of wine and a generous basket of snacks (always a nice touch). The house was spacious and super clean. The beds were extremely comfy and the kitchen was well equipped for anything you may need. So many fun things we really didn't get to take advantage of (Tiki Room, fire pit etc..). But the crowning jewel is the location on the water. If you just want a place to sit and relax as the sun rises or sets (yes you get to see both from the back deck) this is your place. John was a gracious and responsive host. We hope to be back next year.

Great space centrally located with a great backyard. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed a great stay at the beach bungalow. It’s well-located with the beach, boardwalk, and a few restaurants, coffee spots, and a grocery store easily walkable. Bonus points for a terrific front porch and back yard, the latter having a hot tub that was the perfect antidote to a day spent out in the wind and rain.
