The setting is beautiful. The apartment was sparkly clean and beautifully decorated, big and spacious. Loved the floor to ceiling windows looking out on all the birdfeeders in our bedroom. Kitchen was well stocked. Azaima was a delightful host with lots of good information about the area and just a lovely, fascinating person. All aspects exceeded our expectations.

What a great off the wall place to visit, see, and spend time at. Beautiful area you’ve created here and we loved the porch. Thank goodness for the working WiFi so I could stay connected for work.

If you work in high stress areas- this is your perfect decompression sacred space. Everything is meticulously provided. Book at least 5 days. Pick up groceries. Hosts welcome you and set up the home. It overlooks a deeply still gorge that gently pulls exec freeze function right out of the body. Deep breathing with complete relaxation in 24 hrs. We received delicious homemade bread with local jams and honey. Slept the best we have in a decade. Hot tub and hot showers. Walked the private 80+ acres seeing gorgeous sunsets and dark sky stars. Pull in during the day. The route is very well marked. Then decompress. We didn't want to leave. And we will definitely be back. They've created a soulful sacred space for others. Our three-generation family occupied both Gatehouse and Bunkhouse dwellings, where we enjoyed Christmas cheer and feasting. Our thoughtful hosts made our stay uber-comfortable, with well-equipped kitchens, comfy bedding, good hot showers, great spaces to gather--everything as described. But most memorable and utterly out of the ordinary was Alex's guided tour of the quarters still remaining on the storied historic L.C. Ranch. Some buildings dating to the early 1800s, with furnishings lovingly assembled over decades by the family of the current stewards (and much left in place from previous centuries), made for a great place to unwind and explore the astonishing surroundings. Gila Cliff Dwellings and Catwalk, like this precious time capsule, are not to be missed!

The cottage was the nicest bnb we've ever stayed in. Roomy and comfortable. Big kitchen. Clean. Quiet. Private. Great nightime starry skies. 5-10 minute walk to downtown coffee/dining/pubs with lots of circa 1880s houses to gawk at. Our next visit to Silver City will center around the availabilty of the Carriage House.

Azima’s home sits atop a beautiful and tranquil setting in the northern area of Silver City, NM. The initial drive in can be confusing due to the winding wooded road but her address in the GPS will get you to where you need to be. She responded to my messages quickly and her instructions were concisely clear. My fiancée and I were greeted by Azima and her adorable loving dogs, Blue & Pearl, upon our arrival. She gave us a quick tour and welcomed us into her lovely home. My fiancée and I enjoyed being in the quiet, star lit setting of Azima’s home. She was courteous, helpful, and available; should we have had any issues with our stay. The whole experience was a refreshing get away from the hustle & bustle of our daily routine. We will definitely will be staying here again, should we have to return to Silver City.

We enjoyed our stay with Azaima a lot - we experienced her to be a very accomodating and gracious host. She even came over to show us around even though we checked in quite late which was much appreciated. The apartment was beautifully furnished and everything felt really thoughtfully arranged and of high-quality. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen and bathroom were well equipped with everything we needed. We loved waking up to the sunrise and enjoyed the morning on the terrace overlooking the beautiful surroundings that had a countryside and very tranquil feel to them, as did the whole property. We warmly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful stay that feels right like home.

Rose was very helpful and communicative. We booked at the last minute and arrived late at night. Rose went over to the house and turned some lights on for us and made sure the gas stove was on. The house was nice and warm and welcoming upon our arrival. Unfortunately we had to leave earlier than expected but Rose made some suggestions of things we should check out before we left, which we did. Would definitely like to stay here again and be able to spend more time and enjoy the area.

This property is, indeed, remote. A 4x4 is definitely recommended, but not absolutely necessary…we saw several “regular” sedans and SUVs making the same trek to this rugged location. If you are too much a city boy or girl, you may not appreciate the pastoral, mountainous surroundings…which are beautiful, but not urban by any stretch of the imagination. We enjoyed our single night stay and successfully avoided any unwelcome local wildlife. Marcus is a very easy-going guy and a pleasure to have met.

My son and I spent several days birding in Rodeo, NM and Portal, Arizona. House was a perfect location and provided a nice, cool escape from midday sun! The area truly is a birder’s paradise and as a bonus, we saw a mountain lion in one of the nearby campgrounds. Our only disappointment was we didn’t see a rattlesnake or tarantula! We did see a baby bull snake, though. Had a great time.

Another great stay! My family and my extended family are repeat visitors at Jennifer’s home when we come to visit my mom who is in a nearby retirement community. The place is always clean, and she is more than accommodating for all our needs!
