One of the most unique Airbnb places we've stayed in. The apartment has a lot of stairs, but climbing up them is well worth the effort! It is situated on the top floor of an old bank. It's been renovated to be bright and modern with an open concept. The high ceilings and large windows, makes the place airy and bright. Beds were comfortable. A full kitchen had everything needed. Lots of hot water-pressure great. Extra bonuses - a balcony off the back of the apartment overlooks the Manistee River and there's a vintage movie theater just across the street. The river is a freighter channel with drawbridges! You can check in advance to see when ships will pass and if you are lucky, you may see one. The Vouge theater seems to show one new movie, a classic movie, and an indy type movie. The rest of the neighborhood is all 19th century/early 20th century buildings - pubs, coffee shops, a restaurant, antique shops, etc. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is only 50 mins away. A precious space right in town that we enjoyed so much, only wishing we would have had more time. Incredible hosts providing great communication and information to make our short time so special. The space had everything one needs and we were super comfy. We cannot wait to return. Thank you so much!

Staying here was such a seamless and comfortable experience. Alisa made check in extremely easy and the place was spotless upon arrival. We noticed Alisa provides recommendations, menus, and things like puzzles and binoculars for birdwatching—all which enriched our stay in Door County.

We loved the idea of converting an old motel into a more comfortable and spacious place right across from the beach. The bed was comfortable, "living" room space with table, microwave and fridge were just what we needed, and folks we met were very friendly. We'd stay here again!

Michelle's place has great access to the Bay area and greatly renovated. The primary bedroom with bath is gorgeous especially with heated tile floor. The second bedroom was a bit small but it was also comfortable. The second bath was behind the kitchen so the couple who used the second bedroom has to walk through the living room and the kitchen but it was not a big deal. We felt the coffee table in the living room was a bit small for four of us but again not a big deal at all. One thing we have noticed was the linen are high quality! And we paid the great price probably because it is early (water in Michigan lake was still pretty cold). Neighborhood restaurants were great and kitchen has all the tools and dishes for our first night dinner. We wished that we had access to outdoor grill but maybe it will be available during the summer. Great stay in small coastal town in WI. Highly recommended!

This was our second stay at this Airbnb and we will definitely be back! We love the location and how close everything is especially the brewery right next door! Dan was very responsive and a great host!

Felicia's rental unit is better than the photos! :) It is peaceful, calm, and in a picturesque part of Manistee. The unit has great windows: in the kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedroom. There is so much great natural light that makes this place feel extra special and homey. Spacious and comfortable. Comfortable bed and furniture. Incredibly well-stocked kitchen. Relaxing bathtub. I stayed here for a long weekend as a solo traveler, and I can't wait to return for another stay. It would be a great place for a longer stay as well. Felicia was a proactive and gracious host. She thoughtfully provided pasta and sauce to cook (which I used!). She also let me park in the driveway during the snowy weekend, which was much appreciated. Lovely stay! Can't sing enough praises!

Great location with a super host. Only small issues — no freezer for the ice pad we need for a knee issue and, the bed, though comfortable is insanely high — even with a step stool was tough for my five foot wife to get in and out of. Super thick mattress plus a couple inch topper. Incredibly well stocked and super clean. Parking was a breeze and the front deck was a real nice bonus. Wonderful experience.

Beth and Keegan were great hosts! Very responsive, friendly, accommodating, and even let our ESA come along. They assisted us with early check in and late check out times! Hot tub was amazing, beautiful location. We were so pleased with our stay and are planning to return in the summer! Amazing venue.

Now that I have stayed at Jack's home @ 5 times, I can easily verify that every moment spent in that home is magical - steps away from a walk on the beach, the methodical waves lapping on the shoreline, and the majestic sunrises reflecting on the water combine to provide a therapeutic sensory experience that delivers 24 hours each day. If that isn't enough, there are fabulous coffee shops, restaurants, and bars that you can walk to as well as many others a short drive away. No - Jack does not pay me to write these reviews ... the reviews write themselves. Enjoy!

What a beautiful place and location. It was perfect for our trip. Easy ride into Green Bay to watch the game and such a quiet area. The Lake was great to look at through the glass doors. Would absolutely recommend to anyone and will book again!

Beautiful location with lake in backyard, it was frozen over and you could walk out on it. Peaceful area and home was nice and relaxing. Our daughter was coming back for college and loved it so much she thought she would like to stay for entire school year her Senior year :)

Property was beautiful & right on lake Michigan. Home was clean and accurately described in the listing. Thomas was responsive and attentive to my needs.

Loved the beautiful setting amongst mature trees, the lake view and falling to sleep listening to the waves.

Paul was great. Responsive and helpful. Had a couple of questions about how things worked while we were there and he responded within minutes. Solid sleeping for 10 without pullouts.

Great place in an amazing location. Everything was so clean when we arrived. Location had so mNy amenities. Toys for adults and kids. Our group had so much fun. Highly recommend staying at John’s!!

We had a wonderful weekend and totally enjoyed the Condo. It was clean, organized and we felt right at home. We most definitely would stay there again. It was perfect!! Thank you so much for allowing us to rent from you. It was nice to have a home, instead of just hotel rooms. Excellent experience.

Our stay was great overall. If I had to pick something to change, I'd want the outside front entrance light to work. That's really it. :)

Bob is a great host! This was our 3rd year staying at the Book Mark, we will be back next year for our annual fall get away!! The coffee & smoothies are fabulous, the baristas are so nice and helpful, the 10% discount on items in the bookstore is a great benefit and we try to take advantage of it each time we stay! We stayed here for a weekend away as a family. The view of the lake and beaches were amazing as well as the park right in the backyard. The place itself had everything we needed and was the perfect space for a get away weekend.

Debbie was super responsive from day 1 onward. Really enjoyed working with her for our 6-day stay. The place was nice and warm despite the sub-zero temps we had when there. Bed was comfortable and lots of hot water for showers. New appliances so meals in were easy. All in all a great place to stay. Thank you Debbie.

This is a perfect spot to stay in Door County! So many restaurants and shops nearby, not to mention the lakeshore and the beautiful sights within walking distance. We appreciated the local recommendations and the easiness of the stay. I visited with my mom who's in her 70s, so we also enjoyed some downtime and truly appreciated the calm surroundings and the electric fireplace in the living room. Sometimes it's the little things, like having a chat in the right environment, that can really make a trip special.
