Why Kashmir on the lake? in 2004 the house was built by a local husband and wife who were dedicated to having their grandchildren enjoy this special place in the Catskills. The family decided to move south and listed the home to rent occasionally - especially for the music festival Mountain Jam in Hunter . Large 8 Bedroom, 4 Bathroom house with a giant living room with a bar, piano and fireplace. The house sits on 7 acres with a pond, fire pit, hammocks, and bbq. Close to skiing for the winter travelers and swimming holes, hiking, and other outdoor adventures for summer travelers. We have renovated this 1890s farmhouse to be the upstate escape we dreamed of, full of character & fun details but it isn’t right for everyone.
