Head out on Angles Way and follow the Waveney river valley for an idyllic countryside stroll or take a trip to the beautiful Suffolk coast, then light the fire and curl up under the beams. Featured in a host of magazines, this bucolic abode combines period features and chic, contemporary design. Ivywood cottage is medieval in age, but contemporary in design, with luxurious finishes and fine detailing. The house is in a unique rural setting and was once part of the Gawdy Hall Estate. The house sits next to a beautiful 15th century church, set within a 3 acre church yard. Glorious and plentiful Waveney Valley walks in all directions. Guests have complete privacy and run of the house, including a private garden. We respect our guest's privacy, and are on call for any advice or assistance that you may need during your visit. The cottage is a short picturesque drive from the coastal gems of Southwold and Aldeburgh. Harleston and Bungay are quintessential English towns with charming independent stores, delis, family butchers, bistro cafes, pubs, restaurants, and tea shops. It's the countryside, most people drive. Diss is the mainline station between London and Norwich and is just 15 minutes by car. Cycling is very popular and the cottage is on a regular time trial route. Buses are very reliable and the village is well serviced making it easy to hop between Suffolk and Norfolk villages. There is fabulous walking from the cottage. Located in the Waveney Valley paths such as Angles Way which follows the Waveney river valley are right on your doorstep.

Situated on family run farm of 10 acres. The Cowshed offers all the luxuries for a romantic stay in Suffolk. A spacious bathroom with shower and bath and the added luxury of heated mirror and towel rail. The bedroom has a super king size bed with luxury, professionally laundered linen. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances including a coffee machine. The open plan living area has a log burner creating a warm and comfortable place to relax. Bright and airy cottage with modern interior in peaceful village just 3 miles from Southwold. Situated off the A12 for easy access to RSPB Minsmere, Dunwich and the Norfolk Broads and only 1 mile from Latitude music festival. Our popular "gastropub" local is only 100m from your door, and a well-stocked village shop with Suffolk-sourced produce and all the essentials is just opposite. There's a farmshop and nursery in the village, plus a children's play area over the road. Enquire for bike hire.

Up to two well behaved pets allowed. Note: there are 2 padded low beams and steep stairs.

Ideal for two adults .(No pets please).

The stairs are very steep (see photo). Allocated parking. Bistro table and chairs outside your door, plus a bench right by the water. Our small 18th century barn is the converted village forge and is perfect for any time of year - a cosy winter break by the wood burner or summer outdoors in the private cottage garden. We're in a central village location, in a forgotten quiet part of Suffolk known as The Saints. Surrounded by beautiful walking and cycling countryside, yet only 15 miles from Suffolk's best beaches and Southwold. The barn shows it's heritage with beams and vaulted ceilings, yet has a modern open plan layout.
