Balsam Hollow Cabin

Balsam Hollow is a newly built, charming rustic cabin that was created from the heart for our family, friends and you. From the all-wood exterior and interior, to the log railings in the loft, staircase and covered porch with wrap-around deck, our mission is to give our guests a true Adirondack Experience. Surrounded by nature, secluded and private, yet centrally located to Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, and Rainbow Lake with 25 miles of connecting waterways. You will find a snow shoe trail and cross country skiing on our 10 acres. Outside grill and fire pit. With our tankless water system you will have an endless supply of hot water to enjoy! Even though we are tucked off the beaten trail we are close to so much adventure! There are multiple trail heads close by, ice skating (pond style or rinks including the Olympic Oval in Lake Placid), Whiteface Mountain Ski Resort, Bobsled rides, Toboggan Shoot, Sled Dog rides, Boating, Canoeing, Mountain Beaches, Swimming Holes, White Water Rafting, Hiking, Mountain Biking, and so much more! The Gallery Cabin at Camp Arden

Step under a pair of moose antlers and enter a serene world without cellphone reception. Swing in a hanging log chair and have a BBQ on a screened-in porch with views of a pond. Borrow a canoe and go paddling on nearby lakes and rivers. At Camp Arden, we follow Airbnb’s and the CDC's recommended enhanced cleaning protocols. The cabin is in the Loon Lake area. It's a 20-minute drive to Saranac Lake and 35 minutes to Lake Placid. It's recommended to have your own vehicle or rental to best enjoy the Adirondacks. Because of its size taxis are expensive and an Uber may take some time to reach you. If you're flying in, the nearest airport, SLK, is 15 minutes away.

Franklin's 80 Loons offers a renovated Victorian "Cure Cottage" with 3 beds, intriguing nooks & crannies & ample sunlight, & driveway parking on a quiet residential street. Short walk to new rail trail, Lake Flower & Saranac Lake shops, galleries and restaurants. This comfortable house is the perfect base camp for hiking, skiing, snowboarding, cycling & paddling activities. Relax with a book, puzzle, board game, bath or campfire. Sleep up in the trees in our cozy Magical Treehouse. This place is the perfect base camp for your next adventure, or a unique spot to curl up with a good book. The perfect place to be in the woods, but not isolated. Cook your meals in the nearby cookhouse (40’ away, unheated) on a camp stove or over an open campfire. A heated bathroom/shower is 20’ away. We provide you with linens, cookware, plus help you plan your trip. Property includes miles of hiking trails and beautiful places to explore!

Saranac River Ranch - Farm Stay

Moving into the Spring season here on farm. Time for the Goats to be kidding and planting the veggies in the high tunnel. Plenty of great trails to hike and biking on the rail trail and the opening of the Pendragon Theatre downtown. The Saranac River Ranch is located on a 25 acre farm and cold pressed juicery. You can have access to farm fresh breakfast packages, local food and healthy juices during your stay - you may even choose to do one of our popular juice cleanses while you're here!

"Relax in cool comfort, quiet, restful beauty"...this is how the brochure read in 1948 at Split Rock Farm! Our goal is to restore these features for our guests in the same location. The cottage is attached to the original farmhouse, built in 1890, located across the street from the iconic Split Rock. It has been recently renovated with new flooring, new beds (1 queen, 1 full), cable TV and WiFi, washer and dryer, new electric stove, microwave, coffee maker, kitchen and dining essentials.
