My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our getaway to Kersmains bothy. It felt very luxurious, with plenty of space for two! The sunroom/ kitchen is a lovely space to cook and the living room is so cosy and atmospheric in the evenings. We loved the hot tub under the stars as there is very little light pollution. Perfect for a country escape to the borders.

Thank you so much for such a lovely stay. The accommodation was really lovely, warm and comfortable with amazing views. We enjoyed the walks from the door and Melrose was wonderful. The lemon drizzle cake, wine, flowers and milk were very kind.

Had a lovely stay in this property and location met our needs perfectly . Hot tub was worth paying a bit extra for . Flat would be ideal for a larger group as the rooms are very spacious and well equipped . Only comment would be that some information on car parking would be helpful for those not familiar with the area . We were unaware of the existence of a garage until after check in . I knew where to park without charge in Melrose but it would be helpful to provide this information to other guests . Thank you for our stay . I would definitely recommend to others .

We had a wonderful time at Kylie’s cottage. The place was very clean and tidy. She was very helpful and responsive, gave us some advice where to go and what to see in the area. We totally coming back and recommend to friends and family

A tranquil and peaceful stay in this spacious and well equipped cottage. We were well looked after by Jenny and co. and felt totally relaxed. Enjoyed our interactions with farm life, which included birthing a lamb, petting the donkies and seeing the newborn kittens, it made our stay very special. The house is well located for trips into Edinburgh and Glasgow, or to enjoy nearby countryside. You won't regret it!

We had the best time, the surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful and the cottage itself was perfect for a romantic getaway! Our dog had a great time as well!

Alice and Paul were incredibly welcoming. Alice provided us with several suggestions of local things to do and see, as well as information on bus schedules and when/where to shop for food (as there is hardly anywhere nearby the accommodation to shop). The host also lent us their E-Bikes to help get around and explore, which was splendid, and a surprising delight! Would 100% recommend this BnB to anyone looking for a brief, peaceful respite.

We’re a group of 5 adults and 2 cocker spaniels and have just returned from a lovely short stay at Pondfield Cottage, Gifford. The cottage was immaculately clean with 3 large double bedrooms and a lovely enclosed garden for the dogs to play in. The lounge was comfortable and cosy with a wood burning stove and a selection of DVDs, books and board games. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need with some lovely little unexpected touches like a spice rack. The location of the cottage is next door to an equine centre and horses are regularly walked past the house which was lovely to see. One small issue we experienced was resolved immediately, even though it was Easter Sunday, which demonstrated exceptional service from the owner. We would certainly recommend this property.

We had a lovely stay at Bairnkine, thanks Lucy. The house was great for us, the boys loved the pool table and we enjoyed using the tennis court. Thankyou for the flapjack on arrival and also for the really interesting farm tour. It was such a beautiful area to discover. We'll hopefully come again to explore more another time, Kelley

Wow! We had a fantastic stay here. The house is really well thought out. The rooms are all great sizes. The secure garden is huge and perfect for the dog to run around in either the kids. I loved the little stream running past the front of the house. It was really clean and had everything we could possibly need. Sarah and Scott were really kind and very helpful when we couldn’t get the hot water to work fixing it really quickly. It really is the perfect place to get away from it all. I hope we will be back again soon.

The cottage is lovely and in such a tranquil location. Accessible to both Edinburgh and Glasgow. It was immaculately clean and very cosy. Just what we needed.

Exactly what we were looking for, quiet, secluded place with beautiful surroundings. Our host Mark was terrific and quick to respond to any queries. Mr Whitey and the dog were a hit with the family. Will definitely visit again. Regarding mobile coverage I had some signal inside for three but nothing on Vodafone. However there is satellite internet.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Bothy. The location was perfect—so tranquil and peaceful, yet just a quick 6-minute drive from the charming town of Moffat. It really offered the best of both worlds: serene countryside vibes with easy access to local amenities. The Bothy itself was spotless, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining it. Everything was immaculate and well-organised, making our stay feel comfortable and stress-free. Karen has gone above and beyond by putting together a fantastic local information pack, which was incredibly helpful for exploring the area. It’s these thoughtful touches that make such a difference! And let’s talk about the bed, wow, it was unbelievably comfortable. After long days of exploring, and then relaxing with a few hlasses of wine in front of the wonderful log burner, it was such a treat to sink into it and enjoy a restful night’s sleep. The Bothy is a hidden gem that we highly recommend.

What a gem of a place for 2 people, we found it on a last minute search, and we feel so lucky we did! The Bothy is beautiful, set in a secluded, quiet setting with a great size garden and private parking place. The interior is very tasteful, very clever how the space has been utilised, we felt at home as soon as we entered. We had no need to use the log burner (a basket of logs provided) as the heating was great but it would be a lovely option in the autumn/winter. We had been left milk, butter, bread, jam, fruit, tea, coffee & sugar, a lovely touch, and much appreciated, especially when you forget to take certain items. The kitchen is very well equipped (washing machines tablets, kitchen roll etc) as stated. The bathroom was a great size, lovely towels and toiletries provided. The bed was very comfortable with quality bedding, a lovely light spacious area. We can’t wait to return, highly recommend!

This place was an absolute delight from the moment we arrived. Cozy, spotless, and so thoughtfully put together — we were greeted with delicious treats, a bottle of wine, and a handwritten note that instantly made us feel welcome and cared for. The fireplace was warm and comforting (we spent most evenings curled up in front of it), and the whole space had a charm and personality you rarely find in short-term rentals. No generic IKEA furniture here — just a beautifully curated space that felt like a real home. Also loved the outdoor seating areas and wished we had gotten to use the outdoor fire pit! The kitchen was impressively well-equipped, which made it so easy to settle in and enjoy meals without missing a thing. Everything was clean, cozy, and clearly cared for. And Dean and Gina were helpful and responsive every step of the way. We’d come back in a heartbeat — and highly, highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and personal getaway.

Highly Recommend! Beautiful, well equipped cottage. It has been renovated to a very high standard. Kate, was an excellent host and very responsive. In the middle of a working sheep farm, sheep everywhere, so you must be able to control your dogs at all times. A beautiful break away from Wifi, phones and people. All shops about 16/18 miles away. A lovely place to reconnect and recharge. Thank you for having us, would love to come back soon ☺️

Had a wonderful 2 week stay at Wood Cottage. The location was perfect, surrounded by hills and very peaceful. The cottage was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The garden was beautiful and home to local wildlife, which was lovely.

The sitting room with dining area is really spacious and comfortable. The beds were all very comfortable, with lovely bedding. The heating was responsive and effective. The shower is really good. And it was wonderfully quiet at night - we all slept really well. We are keen hillwalkers, and had a lot of choice for good walks close to the house.

This is a really nice place to stay in Walkerburn. The cottage has two storeys with living room and kitchen on the ground floor and two bedrooms on the second floor. The place was nice and warm. Bus service is very convenient with the bus stop literally right outside the door. I did the ‘Walk around Walkerburn’ and enjoyed it. Walkerburn is a good base from which to explore Innerleithen and Peebles and other Border towns. We went to the Blues Night at the Vale Club on Friday night - really good. All was mighty fine.

Lewis’s flat was just beautiful. It was spotless and had everything that was needed. The kitchen was well stocked and there were goodies and essentials left for us to enjoy. So nice to have these things when you are travelling. Would highly recommend this lovely spot.

What a stunning location! The views from this cottage make your shoulders drop instantly. Maggie and Archie's cottage is the perfect hideaway to get away from the hustle and bustle and either enjoy the suntrap garden on bright, warm days or tuck in snug on drizzly days! Everything is clean and tidy and there was a lovely welcome pack for when we arrived. Maggie and Archie are both charming, friendly, helpful hosts. The location is handy to head up to Edinburgh, visit the beautiful Northumberland coast or head inland to the Borders countryside. However, the local area also offers a lot in there are peaceful riverside walks from the garden gate and Floors Castle up the road is a very impressive place to visit. Would recommend staying here and we are hoping to go back very soon!

I can’t put into words how wonderful Brendon’s house was for our new years get away. The house, location, wildlife, Brendon himself - everything was just perfect. We were lucky enough to have a snowy new years and it was a magical experience. We did however get stuck getting out but that was because we did not come prepared with our Tesla but Brendon even offered to rescue us and drove 2 hours to do so! My birthday is New Year’s Eve and we wanted to take my dog away from all the fireworks and craziness that new years brings and it did not disappoint! Not one firework and it was one heck of an amazing birthday. As soon as we drove up to the house I fell in love with it and I highly recommend anyone who is looking to have a peaceful getaway, stay at this house. The only negative I have is that we didn’t stay longer.
