This is a Turn of the Century Victorian Home. It was built in 1900, we are the 3rd owners. It has been well loved and given a new look. It is our desire to share this with unique space with everyone. You will have a warm and inviting space to relax in. Upgrades include an extensive water filtration system and thermostatic shower controls. Kingston Suites also offers central air and heat for each floor giving you control of your comfort. This is a NO SMOKING PROPERTY. There are 3 suites total

Just one block from NewBo Market in the heart of a vibrant neighborhood, this sparkling clean, cozy and eclectic space is the upstairs apartment of an 1890s era home listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Once slated for demolition, the Heart House was fully restored to include a first floor shop and a second floor Airbnb. Guests especially love the clawfoot tub (unless mobility is an issue) with rainfall showerhead.

Cozy Historic Cottage

This 1930’s storybook cottage is tucked away in the Longfellow Historic District, one of Iowa City’s most peaceful, beautiful neighborhoods. Close to downtown and the University, walkable to Deluxe Bakery, Longfellow Nature Trail, and multiple parks, this charming home has one queen bedroom plus an upstairs loft/workspace with an additional queen-sized bed. Updated kitchen and bathroom, electric fireplace, and eclectic art and books make this a unique getaway in the heart of Iowa City.

Porch Light Literary Arts Center

Support reading and writing with your stay inside our literary arts center. Our one bedroom apartment includes a kitchen, bathroom and work space. Guests enjoy access to our wrap around porch, gardens, and the salon when it is not in use. Our salon hosts workshops and readings, and provides information on the latest literary happenings in Iowa City, a Unesco City of Literature. We are a five minute walk from downtown. Free parking and a private entrance is available in the back.

Historical Apartment w/ Whirlpool Tub

155 years old, the original Prayer Meeting Hall of Amana Iowa will welcome you to stay in the oversized suite. A large king size bed and the two-person whirlpool tub will make your stay comfortable and relaxing. After a day of shopping and strolling on the main road, stop by one of the three wineries or the brewery all within walking distance of Sandstone Haus. Come back to your suite and slip into one of our custom robes while you fill the whirlpool for a night or relaxation.

The Irish Hill - Uptown Marion

Named after it’s neighborhood roots, this 2 bedroom apartment is full of charm. Originally the first floor of a 1900 home for railroad workers in Marion, it is now a refurbished 2 bedroom apartment we call the Irish hill. A completely separate 1 bedroom apartment (also on Airbnb) is the top half of the house, and we call that the Uptown B! Check it out on our host profile. Irish hill guests will have access to a .25 acre yard (unfenced). Only blocks away from uptown Marion!
