A shame we missed Rolf as we later found out: he left in the morning on the evening we arrived. Dini, his local manager, started communicating with me a week in advance and as we arrived late, she instructed security to help us move in. The staff was wonderful and were instrumental in making us feel absolutely comfortable, from the moment we arrived to when we checked out. We had a great and relaxing week and I would recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a 5 star stay.

Rustic house away from any noise and people. The hosts were fantastic and always wanted to help ensure our stay was enjoyable. Even gave us fresh coconuts on arrival and helped us rent a scooter for a good price. Would recommend to anyone wanting some peace and quiet.

Je voyage principalement en réservant des ABB et cette villa est de loin la meilleure que j’ai pu réserver ! Ce séjour était une parenthèse enchantée, un vrai rêve. Dès notre arrivée, la taille des espaces et la vue étaient encore plus impressionnantes que sur les photos, c’était juste époustouflant. La maison est impeccable, les jardins luxuriants. Le personnel est un vrai trésor, d’une gentillesse incroyable : une expérience de luxe ! Ils ont vraiment rendu notre séjour magique et inoubliable. L’hôte est réactif, attentionné et flexible. J’ai fêté mon anniversaire ici, et en me levant le jour J, j’ai eu la surprise d’une déco "joyeux anniversaire", un gâteau et des bougies : quelle gentil geste ! Le seul petit bémol (vraiment mineur) : un vendeur un peu insistant vient au mur du fond du jardin mais il suffit de complètement l’ignorer et il vous laissera tranquille. Encore un énorme merci à Nia et aux Putu, vous êtes en or ! <3 C’est la meilleure villa de mes séjours en Asie.

It was the best place we stayed at during our vacation. Everything was amazing, very comfortable, quiet, very clean and beautiful. The staff was also perfect, helping us with any issue and question we had. Can highly recommend staying there!!

Great location for surfing at Medewi. Lovely room with a comfy bed and was very clean. Walkable to the local restaurants and beach, would stay again

Batu Kayu Surf is an incredible lodge, we had an amazing time there. It’s perfectly located right in front of the entrance to the surf point at Medewi Beach, making it ideal for surfers. Kadek, the manager, was super friendly and communicative, and he made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. He gave us many recommendations and helped us to arrange massages, taxi driver, surf coach and surf boards rental. The place itself is a hidden gem: great bed, ac room, kitchen, beautiful decoration, peaceful, full of good vibes, and the food is excellent. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you Batu Kayu

Our family (four people) spent two weeks in Villa. House is even better than photos reflecting. Everything was clean and good quality—many additional facilities eg. PS5, Boose sound speaker, poker chips and cards. The view from the Villa is amazing, pool big and clean. Sunbads and furniture are very comfortable. However, the service was the most important thing that made our stay incredibly successful. Desi (our home maid) is a good spirit of this place. She is so kind and helpful. Our gardener and security man was kind and useful as well. The house is located in a rural area surrounded by rice fields and small farms. The view is incredibly serenity. One major problem - the beach is dirty with (for two weeks no one cleaned it) and water is not clear/cristal because of many streams and ditches nearby with water flowing from fields (including garbage, unfortunately ). Two dead dogs, a goose and animal bones washed up at sea during our stay. Thanks to our gardener it was quickly buried.

Such an extraordinary place to have found! Everything we wanted was catered to. There was a great restaurant within walking distance, staff on call whenever needed, cooking was outstanding, activities all booked within house, and the house itself was incredible!

We enjoyed our stay here so much. We will definitely come back for a longer stay next time. Very peaceful and kid friendly atmosphere. Right next to the beach. The staff was very helpful and kind and flexible. We felt at home right away

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful and spacious house. The friendly staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The location is quiet and peaceful, providing the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Situated right on the beachfront, we enjoyed swimming in the sea and jogging along the shore. The house itself is fantastic, with a swimming pool and a lovely garden where we could relax. There are four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and a big twin bed, offering plenty of comfort and privacy. We stayed for just one night as a stopover on our way to Bali hotspots. If we had known how comfortable this house would be, we would have definitely booked an extra night or two. Highly recommended for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

We truly loved this place — it was a wonderful 3-day getaway! We stayed here during Nyepi and it was magical: peaceful, quiet, with just the sound of the sea. The villa is new, everything is clean and fresh — it feels really good to be there. The house is open-style, which adds to the charm, though something to keep in mind if you’re looking for a fully enclosed space. The pool is amazing — big, clean, and with a great view. The kitchen is comfortable and nice to cook in, though we wish there had been a bit more kitchenware. Overall, a lovely experience — this place will stay in our memory!

Great Villa with all the expected amenities and comfort. The staff is great, always available for shopping, cooking , etc The villa is amazing, it is in my sense bigger than what the picture suggests. You will need a car or driver (that is what we did) to go places as it is isolated, but that is exactly what we wanted: peaceful and relaxing! Highly recommended 😎

In the end of our vacation in Bali we decided to visit the north of this beautiful country. We found this huge villa and were really happy to stay there. Thank you very much for your hospitality and kindness. The staff, Dea and Ariani were very supportive and did their best to make our staying comfortable and wonderful. We asked them not to attend the villa too much, because we like privacy and being alone. And it was okay for all of us and for them too, girls and the gardener came to clean and wash villa each morning while we were sleeping. And when we awoke we saw clean and fresh territory everyday. Thank you very much, I think we will return here in a year🙏🏻

Wir haben uns in dieser wunderschönen und geschmackvoll eingerichteten Villa sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt! Herzlich empfangen von den guten Seelen des Hauses wurden wir auch in den nächsten Tagen mit Freundlichkeit, Hilfsbereitschaft und tollem Essen verwöhnt. Der Garten ist wunderbar gepflegt, der riesige Pool glasklar und sauber - wir wollten am liebsten gar nicht mehr abreisen. Auch der Strand war ungewöhnlich sauber, so dass wir im Meer baden konnten. Vielen Dank an Komang, Fitri, Gede, Manas und das ganze Team für die schöne Zeit!

A gorgeous villa with impressive landscaping right on the beach, lots of room everywhere, both indoors and out. Lots of places to relax according to your mood, be it in loungers next to the infinity pool, comfy seating by the dining area and jacuzzi, in the gazebo overlooking the pool, on the back terrace, or at the seating area right adjacent to the beach (incredible and romantic sunsets). The staff were friendly, but in now way overbearing. The cook prepared good, sometimes basic, meals for us that were very tasty and introduced us to some local flavors as well. We told here what we wanted for the next day, she did the shopping and brought the receipts, this worked well. The beach is really nice, with big waves kicking up on some days. Standing in the water facing the villa, while looking at the sunrise coming up in the east and seeing the full moon going down over the volcanos of Java in the west is almost a spiritual experience.

Espectacular alojamiento. Alado del mar y con unas vistas increíbles. Perfecto para hacer actividades en la zona. Genial servicio y atención de todo el equipo.

Adi's villa was perfect for our group. He was super responsive and helpful with all of our questions! The local caretaker, Kadek, was so helpful and treated us amazingly well. He was able to seamlessly rent us the 5 scooters that we wanted for our stay. Definitely opt for him to cook you at least 1 meal! We had 2 meals and they were delicious! So worth it! Also, Mudiarse and his nephew Putu (or Putu's wife Jessy) drove us to and from the airport and on day trips when we preferred to be in a car or for longer excursions. They are such nice and genuine people as well and we were treated like family! The villa is right between 2 great surf beaches that are a short scooter ride away in either direction, but you can also surf next to the house! The beach near the house was beautiful and quiet. We loved the more authentic experience in West Bali. Hopefully we can come back and visit next year!

Super séjour avec une équipe sur place au top et très attentionnée (besoin, gestion de nos repas contre pourboire, conseils, etc.). Mes enfants étaient si bien qu’ils ont regretté leur départ. À conseiller sans soucis.

We stayed here for a week and it was amazing. Ketut’s cooking is incredible, she is extremely cheerful to be around too. Dini was very helpful when we needed to ask for certain things also. Although we stayed during rainy season, we had mostly no rain & the mornings were sunny, the view of the hills and ocean at the end of the garden were amazing. The villa is well maintained and taken care of every single day & all the staff are very kind, when we needed to get to an ATM, the gardner kindly let us borrow his motorbike for free. Really the only bad thing about this place is that you have to leave. I would suggest trying Ketut’s Rendang as its extremely delicious.
