You have exclusive use of this apartment. You will not be sharing anything with other guests. We are right in the middle of downtown, on the main street. It is really fun to walk around and people on this street. All the main attractions of the city centre, like “The Big Church”, Sun Voyager, Harpa Concert Hall, Parliament Square, Town Hall, City Pond, Rainbow Street are all walking distance from our front door. There are about 100 restaurants, coffee houses and bars within walking distance.

Cabin A: 4 adults+1 child (2 bedrooms) Cabin B: 4-6 guests (6 adults and 2 children total. Not for 8 adults). The cabins are not connected. About 10 m from each other (connected by a patio). Lyngbær is the name of this little house, it is located in Bræðratunga in the outskirt of Mosfellsbæ, only 50 minutes drive from the International Airport. Lyngbær is surrounded with fir trees and birch, moss and mountains, with hiking trails all around, and near by is the lake Hafravatn. 2 km to the next grocery store, and 3 km to the center of Mosfellsbæ, where you can find a bakery, restaurants and library. About 600 meters to the bus stop, where you can take the bus to Reykjavík centrum.

The Secret Cabin with hot tube in Nature Reserve

The location is exceptional, located hillside in a beautiful nature reserve, still very close to the downtown Reykjavik, 20 min drive. In winter Dec-March 4x4 car is essential in Iceland. No public transport. Enjoy the hot tube in the evening and watch for the Northern Lights, then rest inside and amid wood paneling that extends to the vaulted ceilings, and look out forest-wards from the deck. The International airport is 40-50 minutes drive. Ideal located for exploring the South West.

The views are spectacular, of the lake and its surrounding mountain scape; it is a place of pure tranquility. It has 3 bedrooms and an open plan kitchen and sitting room. It has a large double bedroom, and small double bedroom and a room with a bunk bed. It is well known and often listed as one of the most scenic and lovely summer cottages in Iceland.
