This house is truly charming and unique! It’s very close to the beach, and its architecture really reminds me of Italian homes, I think it might have even been built by Italians. There’s a cute little terrace that’s perfect for relaxing, and the garden is full of trees and flowers, with a lovely swimming pool that gives off real vacation vibes. The kitchen and laundry facilities are also well-equipped, making it a comfortable place to stay for a few days. Overall, it’s a cozy and beautiful spot for a relaxing getaway.

We lived our stay at the White House cottage. It exceeded our expectations and we would love to return. We are a family of four and it was perfect. The staff was so warm and helpful. Definitely hire the local chef recommendation. We had delicious food in the convenience of our own veranda looking at the ocean. The location right on the beach with the private, expansive grounds was perfect. The house has incredible views and is extremely comfortable. I highly recommend. If you have a big group, try to rent the White House next door and have an amazing holiday with family or friends.

Господар був дуже люб'язним. В разі потреби господар допомагав дуже швидко, завжди був на зв'язку. В апартаментах прибирали 1-2 рази на тиждень. Безкоштовно надавали бутильовану питну воду. я ще не бачила щоб хтось так піклувався про гостя, дуже рекомендую! з приводу тарганів: вони не живуть в цьому будинку, але в момбаса ви їх точно побачите, бо вони живуть в усіх супермаркетах.

Our stay just couldn’t be better! Nina’s place is a little paradise, the house is very spacious and clean, with a lot of areas to hang and relax. The pool was definitely a highlight for me, it was so nice to start the day with the swim and also to read a book floating on a mattress. The house is located a short walk to island’s most beautiful beach Shela and also just 5 min from the harbor. But all this would not be the same without chef’s Daniel fresh and local cooking. He treated us with fresh seafood dishes every day and his cooking was way better than any of the restaurants on the island. Already planning my return and can get boy recommend this place to anybody traveling to Lamu.

His description does not really do it justice! It is far bigger than you will expect and easily accommodate 6 without issues. Best thing though, was Abdillah himself. Friendly, helpful and a great tour guide around the village of Shela. This has been his home his entire life and it shows. I would recommend anyone wanting a relaxing yet exciting vacation, long or short, to visit Shela and stay in his place. We will be returning next year with our children! My family loved the experience and they have asked me to take them back for a longer stay.

I initially planned to stay a couple of days, but extended my stay because Amy's apartment was really homely and beautiful. Amy is also very responsive and helpful, whenever I needed anything or assistance. When I come back to Nairobi, I definitely plan to stay at her apartments again and highly recommend it if you are looking for somewhere that is clean, spacious and has a great view!

Amazing host, highly recommend! The place was beautiful as well as very quiet and peaceful. There’s about a 5-minute walk to the beach with beautiful green scenery along the way.
