This unique apartment above a garage/shop , detached from the main house. Tucked away into a urban forest. I call it Our Robin's Nest because you look out on to branches of large fir trees. It is very private , yet Starbucks is right next door. Private entry and off street parking. This space has everything you need full kitchen, washer&dryer, queen size bed and fold out couch , plus a Play and Pack for the Littles. Walkable neighborhood , parks market and restaurants within walking distance.

Recent Guest Let the kid in you come to play in this real treehouse held up by four trees, 18 feet off the ground. Zip line down or take a giant soaking tub. A magical stroll through the woods leads to the suspension bridge. You won't believe you're only minutes from town. Wear appropriate shoes as it is a short 2-minute hike to the tree house. At times, it can get a little slick.

Hidden Garden Cottage

This 850 sf. cottage is a century old but was completely updated 12 years ago with era-appropriate furnishings, giving it a period (and safe) feel. Breakfast goodies, art, books, and a woodstove make it cozy. It sits on half an acre so lots of room for kids . It's in SW Portland, minutes from downtown. It's quiet, great for working or vacationing. An outdoor fire pit and gardens make it unique. There's even a zip line for kids. Family gatherings also fine. (Note: There is a $60 fee per dog.)

Bacchus Fields is a private, quiet, studio in the gateway of Oregon’s wine country, with views of Mt. Hood and beautiful scenery. The studio has a queen bed, full kitchen, private bathroom and entrance. We offer self-check in, dedicated parking with complementary Level 2 EV charging, a private outdoor patio with seating, a gas grill and fire pit. The studio is nicely situated for short and long-term stays, visits to wine country, the coast, mountains, Portland, and surrounding communities.

For whatever brings you through/to Oregon, stay at Mama J’s comfortable, peaceful, safe and convenient spot. Portland is just ten miles away and the beaches, Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood are all about an hour. There are numerous hikes, from the forest right down the street to Silver Falls and beyond. Where you are surrounded by trees , feel the breezes, sunrise and sunset in the same day, and sometimes the wonderful wildlife around us. Birds in the sky , rabbits and sometimes deer, and yes our two friendly goats. Oh yes and the expansive midnight sky with the bright stars twinkling above or the big round moon shining down on you as you sit on the patio in the evening enjoying the night air.

Sherwood is centrally located and the perfect distance for a day trip to the coast or the mountains.
