Many of the materials used in this house were either reused from old local houses or milled on the property itself, giving it a lot of character, while remaining modern. ON THE TRUCKEE RIVER right in the historic downtown area, our little place is a 2 block walk to restaurants and shopping. You’ll love our place because you can sit inside or in bed and watch the river flow by. It's a peaceful place, new and modern, private and the middle of it all. It's not just a place to stay, it's a destination. QUIET people only please. We have a firm sofa sleeper. we have a couple of other mattresses we can bring in if you prefer a softer bed.

A great cabin for a couple (or two couples) or small family, with easy access to great hiking and mountain biking trails in the summer. In the winter, there is a sledding hill and miles of snowshoe trails out the back door. Four ski resorts are within ten minutes' drive. The deck is the perfect place to watch the bountiful stars in the clear mountain air any time of year. Please read the notes about winter conditions, especially the driveway, very carefully.
