Our recent stay at the beautiful Shivdhaar Estate in Kud Patnitop was an unforgettable experience. The property offers a perfect view, making it ideal for newly married couples seeking a romantic getaway. The organic food served was top-notch, adding a unique touch to our stay. The host and caretaker were incredible, ensuring our comfort and making us feel at home. We had the best time and would highly recommend Shivdhaar Estate to anyone looking for a serene and memorable vacation.

The place is tucked away into a peaceful and serene town. There are beautiful treks and waterfalls around to go. The host is very warm and also helped us get around Chamba! The place is squeaky clean and the host makes sure of that! The common spaces are very well decorated and I ended up spending more time there than the room itself. The room itself was spacious and the bathroom had all amenities including 24-hour running hot water! It was amazing!

Even though we faced water and electricity outages during our trip, caused by heavy rain, Padma and her family provided water in buckets and still prepared breakfast and dinner for us. Padma also gave us recommendations and tipps what to eat and explore. Our stay gave us enlightening insight in the life of locals which we wouldn’t like to miss. The only downside was to use the bathroom during the night or early morning which is only reachable by taking the stairs outdoors.

Tsering has a beautiful place with a splendid view of the Stok Kangri range. We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed interacting with everyone from the family who made us feel right at home with their warmth. Aunty took great care of us with her home cooked meals and the stay played a huge part of helping us achieve our objective of travelling to Ladakh for the run. Tsering helped us with any information we needed on places nearby. Will especially miss Boyka the family golden retriever and the leisurely walks on the estate. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting to stay with a warm and welcoming family and experience a memorable Ladakhi hospitality. Look forward to coming back and meeting everyone again and loads of love for the entire family.

Staying at Padma Ji’s home felt like being welcomed by family. Her warmth, delicious Ladakhi cuisine, and engaging conversations made the experience truly special. The home is beautifully decorated with charming antiques, creating a cozy and authentic atmosphere. Their daughter, Karma, was absolutely adorable and added an extra layer of joy to our stay. All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend this place — it’s a true gem!
