Enjoy your stay at this private, cabin retreat equipped with EV charging station, spacious rooms for everyone. This home is not childproofed, please feel free to bring your own childproofing supplies. Cook meals on your own time in the full size kitchen, or enjoy the cozy wood burning stove in the living room or in the recreational space in the lower level with pool table and full size bar for your enjoyment. The Godley Cottage is located about halfway between Chicago and Springfield along the Old Route 66. There is a history of gangster hideouts and smuggling during Prohibition. It was originally a coal mining town and now a fisherman's paradise with many lakes here for fishing. The Godley Park District is a great place for kids and adults to play with farm animals and a dog park just a block away from the Cottage.
