Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Very quiet and secluded. We are about 13 miles from Whitetop mnt where the Virginia creeper trail starts. Also about 11 miles from Grayson Highlands park where the mountain ponies run free. 13 miles from West Jefferson for shopping, hiking, etc. Or stay here in the hammock while the kids play in the creek which is a stone’s throw from the front porch. Rest on the back porch while the shade canopy keeps you cool. Pet policy- please read

Spring House, 1842 farmhouse w/view of New River

Built in 1842, this large farmhouse was the home to many generations of the Eller family. The walnut pantry in the dining room and the mantel surround of the fireplace are original to the house. If you enjoy simple living in a historical setting, you will feel at home here. Enjoy your coffee and a book from the library in the front porch swing with a cool evening breeze or in the swing next to the creek listening to the rushing water. The house is located across the street from the New River.
