Location was excellent for our purposes (in the center of the city, few minutes walking distance from the University, the market and the railway station) The host was a bit slow in responding before arrival in the UK, but issues regarding were resolved upon arrival at the airport. Overall the apartment was in good to excellent condition apart from some issues which were considered minor due to the relative short stay of 8 days. (One window was very tricky to open and close, the freezer needed some defrosting, one of the faucets had a broken drainer, no towels or sheets were changed during the length of our stay)

Had a lovely stay in the lodge. Beds comfy, place was clean and luxurious, great to have robes for when utilising the hot tub. Temp of hot tub did unfortunately vary and was cold on first night but soon sorted through instructions from host. Overall a very lovely stay with beautiful views and secluded quiet environment.WiFi a bonus! Lovely touches including bottle of wine, welcome note and folder providing info on local area and places to eat. We enjoyed visiting the foxton locks, the local tearoom and the local market for some lovely fresh produce.

It was lovely being around all the animals and the hot tub was really nice. My partner and I were looking for something more private, but for some time away and being around the countryside & nature it was perfect. The host and facilities were great, along with the tour we felt very welcome.

We (2 adults and 2 children) really enjoyed our stay. The surroundings are beautiful and the cottage is very peaceful. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. The host was very friendly. He gave us great recommendations and let our kids onto the farm to see the lambs. Fully recommend :)

Just got home from a lovely, relaxing stay here. Met up with 5 friends who now live all over the country and this was a great, central location. Tom met us as we arrived and showed us how everything worked. House was clean with some quirky lamps, each bedroom had an en-suite plus kettle and cups. The hot tub was a perfect addition. Lost many an hour chatting away while sat in it. Would definitely stay again.

From beginning to the end - great communication. There was a small issue with the hot tub on arrival, but they were already on it. It really was a lovely place and relaxing; well equipped. Pub was an 18 minute walk, but nice following the reservoir. Watch out for the pub opening times and when they serve food! For coffee and a snack try Dusty's in a neighbouring village.

This is our second time staying here and just like before everything was perfect. Our son really enjoyed seeing all the sheep from the lodge and it's a short drive into Barrow for everything you need during your stay

This was our first Air B&B experience. If Hugh and his Emma are anything to go by as hosts we will always choose this option over any hotel. They helped us out of the way to make us feel at home. We were in-between selling a house thus required a month long place to reside. With the amount of baggage and luggage we could not have stayed anywhere else. The family let us use their shed space and took the burden off us. The entire property is just "wow". Endless green fields with local habitat, horses in barns, pet chickens and beautifully landscaped gardens around the whole palace like estate. A month is a lot of time but the family was very proactive to any queries or requirements. The dwelling itself has a lot of character, Endless paintings and views to die for. Not to mention the collection of multitude of books. The host had provided detailed information pack about anything and everything. We wish them prosperity and happiness in all future endeavours. Hugh do take a break!

Olga’s place had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I really appreciated how responsive and flexible Olga was! Thanks for having us

I stayed at The Hayloft whilst looking for a place to rent of my own, the house became like my home and I truly enjoyed the peacefulness of the countryside and how private it felt. The house was pristine and they had a newly renovated bathroom and kitchen, it was amazing to get a chance to use their place as a stepping stone. I would’ve loved to have stayed on. The hosts were extremely nice and responded to all my queries, I’ll definitely be back and would recommend them to everyone I know and don’t know!

It was a privilege to be able to stay in such a beautiful setting. Perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surrounding countryside. The cottage was very homely and we really appreciated the provisions provided. Personally, I was in horse heaven! Thank you so much, Caroline, Roger and Lucy. We definitely would want to come back.

I had a wonderful stay here — the house is cozy, quiet, and full of warmth. It reminded me of my university days in Nottingham, and for a few nights, it felt like I had traveled back to that time. Thank you for creating such a comforting space. I’d definitely love to come back again!

What can I say. For me it’s exactly what air bnb is all about.. quirky extremely well put together accommodation in a beautiful location! Canoes.. bikes.. cooking facilities.. food storage.. shower. Toilets. Areas to play., the tiny house is just amazing. Beds are great and stove is perfect! Sitting out on the decking with the fire pit watching the river and inquisitive cows 😂 while roasting marshmallows! It’s just all perfect. John was the perfect host and extremely helpful and his doggy is so friendly, thank you for sharing what you have built. we will most definitely be back soon! Chris and Louise

By far the best lodge we’ve stayed in. The place was spotless the beds are lovely and comfortable and it had everything you could. We had young children with us and they loved it. The views are absolutely incredible and even better when the sun is setting. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. It’s even better than it looks in the photos! We will definitely be back for another visit. The host are lovely people as well. 10/10

Excellent location -safe neighbourhood within easy walking distance of the train station and town centre and lovely local park. Off street parking, accommodation facilities as listed, comfy double bed. Great value for money.

Location was brilliant and host was great. Loved the flexible auto-check in, and apartment was well-furnished. Price was also reasonable especially considering the quality of the apartment. Will be more than happy to come back next time.

Lyla and Stephen have crafted a beautiful little holiday home separate from their house, but on the same property and they are perfect hosts. My son and I loved our stay which was walking distance from the City Cricket Academy where my son did a half term camp

The apartment was a lovely cosy place for our family to stay. It was set in a beautiful village and the surroundings were quaint. Sue was a great host and helped with our queries. Highly recommend, thank you!

Steve was such a friendly and helpful host! We really enjoyed the apartment, it had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The location was incredibly central, so was ideal to explore the city. It was clean and tidy and the temperature was ideal throughout. The kitchen had what we needed to cook simple meals. The bed was very comfy and the shower was brilliant! It was nice to have the option to have a bath too, which was very welcome. I would love to stay here again and highly recommend it.

Steve was a great host from the check in to the check out always happy to help with any problems we had. Gave us some great recommendations of things to get upto for the weekend, will definitely be booking with Steve again in the future!
