Our stay in the Monkey Attic was wonderful! The location was absolutely perfect, very centrally located to everything and close to the train station with easy access to the airport. Joris was a wonderful host, meeting us personally to help with check-in and get the lay of the “jungle”.🙂 Even though it is an attic in his home, the separate entrance made everything feel very private and Joris was great about maintaining that privacy while also being very responsive if needed. We were a family of 4 with two boys (13 and 11) and the size was perfect for us. As Joris has described, the stairs are steep but well worth the climb. We were so happy to find this little gem in the heart of everything and wouldn’t hesitate at all to stay here again!

We highly recommend this place. It is exactly as described on the listing. To sit at the window and watch the boats in the canal and life in general on the streets was our favorite thing to do. It is literally a couple of walks from the tram station and you can go anywhere in the city from here. The centraal station is just ~ 10 minutes by walk + tram route. There are cafes all around. This is the place to be at while in Amsterdam. We got the feel of being a local and we are glad that we stayed here.

Super nice place to stay. Rooms are cosy. Worth taking your running shoes and rake a run at the oval nearby.

Everything was great! The room was very comfortable, the restaurant next to the hotel (and linked to it) is not cheap but it’s excellent and the ambiance warm and welcoming. We felt at home in both the room and the restaurant. It’s located in a little park with a nice lawn, and big and beautiful trees, it’s just incredible to find that in this neighbourhood, it’s like being in the countryside but in the middle of the city. It’s also very calm and cosy. It’s less than 50 minutes walk from the center of Amsterdam and less than 30 minutes by metro. We enjoyed the place a lot! We recommend it without any hesitation!

Eine schöne und sehr saubere Unterkunft. Sehr gute Lage. Einfach eingerichtet, dennoch hat man alles - was man für den Kurzaufenthalt benötigt. Die Kommunikation war immer sehr gut, schnell, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank Ana und Erwin.

We stayed in Pearl Earring. It was pristine, quiet, comfortable and felt very safe. An easy walk to everything. The photos do not do it justice. We found it to be brighter and bigger than expected, and the stairs (typical of old buildings in Europe) were easy. Matthijs is an exemplary host. He met us for check-in and his communication was always timely and helpful. Just around the corner (a 2 minute walk) were terrific spots for wine, bubbles, charcuterie, cocktails and a super meal, and he provided bikes! - What a gem!

Rims was an excellent, thoughtful host. The room & wc were perfect, clean, comfortable. And the location was amazing!!! Prime spot close to Central Station & right on one of the many canals. Loved it! Would come back again! Highly recommend. The host & the terrific space made my visit amazing! Best!!!!
