Relax in a peaceful, natural environment, ideal for friends, families, wild swimmers, cyclists, paddle boarders, hikers and for cosy evenings by the fireplace. Separately charged are a luxurious hot tub, perfect after a hard days hike and a wood fired barrel sauna with cold shower. A tuck shop, art classes and treatments are also available.

We are dog friendly. Our 250 year old cottage features modern rustic decor, u/f heating, log burner, super-fast internet, Smart TV, Sonos sound system and a complimentary podPoint 7kw EV charger. There are many wonderful walks and bike rides available from the front door. Stays start Mondays or Fridays.

Drakes Cottage sits within the courtyard of a former 18th-century coaching stable. The medieval village of Cartmel is a 15 minute walk via footpaths and country lanes, home to its 12th century Priory, Michelin starred restaurants and famous sticky toffee pudding. Grange-over-Sands is a 5-minute drive, with shops and a lovely promenade. The southern shores of Lake Windermere are just 12 minutes away. Dogs are welcome and will be safe in the garden which is totally enclosed.

Upper Crumble a romantic retreat for two set in an idyllic rural location with beautiful views. It has its own Hot Tub in a private courtyard. Perfectly located to access The Lakes and the medieval village of Cartmel. Cosy log stove, Wifi and private car park. The property is ideally situated close to local attractions including the foodie capital of Cartmel and the southern shores of Windermere. Further afield, activities such as fell walking, mountain biking in Grizedale Forest and trips to the towns of Bowness, Ambleside and Grasmere are all easily accessible.

There are many local pubs to enjoy especially a short walk away in Cartmel, there is parking outside the cottage for two cars.
