Barlwyd Off-Grid Glamping

Experience the ultimate getaway in our off-grid Shepherd's Huts next to Barlwyd Lake. Wake up to breathtaking views of Ffestiniog's mountains, quarries, and valleys. The huts are for two people and furnished with a king-size bed, a kitchenette, and an en-suite bathroom. The interiors are cosy and bright, making for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Welcome to Dolwaen. Our semi-detached, stone cottage in the Snowdonia village of Maentwrog, close to some stunning walks and truly amazing scenery. Dolwaen is perfectly situated for getting out & about in the beautiful Snowdonia national park. Ideally placed to visit historic town of Harlech, with its spectacular castle and quirky shops. Porthmadog is also close by where you can hop on the Welsh Highland Railway across to Beddgelert, Caernarfon, Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Located on a biodiverse, working farm in Eryri National Park, our well equipped, comfortable Shepherdess Hut sits alongside Afon Nanmor (River), with the bathroom a two minute walk away. 10 minutes drive from Beddgelert, 15 minutes from the Watkin Path up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) or 20minutes from the beach. Look out for views of Cnicht, Yr Wyddfa, the kingfisher and the Osprey.
