this place is best for a small family gathering or event. That what we had- a extended family getaway- the place has a big main building with ample space for everyone to gather. plenty of cabins for individual families. we were in when it was raining, still were able to have fun. kids enjoyed the hot tub. All adults could easily gather in the main building, barbecue and chill and dance even when it rained outside. Landon was a great host, always available to help online and able to send in help when needed. we loved to be able to get our extended family in one place to spend the weekend!

Great place to stay! Very comfortable and close proximity to the smith river makes this a great location for an outdoors getaway.

We enjoyed our stay. The house is spacious and in such a beautiful location with views of the mountains. Shelley was flexible and responsive. If you're looking for a quiet getaway, this is a great place!

We would definitely stay here again. Bathrooms and kitchen were spotless. On a clear day we had a beautiful view of the mountains and the valley below. Quaint shopping in Fancy Gap. Check out the wings and a beverage at Creek Bottom Brewing in Galax. Short trip to Mt Airy NC. We left feeling refreshed.

The pictures don’t do it justice! Cathy’s place was wonderful for our family (11 people - 3 kids, 8 adults). It was beautiful, clean, great views, and more than enough room for everyone. My dad is disabled so it was important to find a place with a main floor master. Cathy’s main floor master was accessible and extremely disability friendly. My whole family had an incredible time. Our favorite part was definitely the deck and the amazing views! We will definitely be back again.

What an incredible, warm and comfortable cabin. It was the perfect base to explore local towns or just relax and stay in and enjoy the cabin experience! It’s so beautifully decorated. We wish we could have stayed longer. Gerald is an extremely thoughtful host and had great local suggestions. Highly recommend this little piece of heaven!!

We fell in love with a house as soon as we got there. It’s so peaceful and authentic. I wish I could add pictures to my review, I have so many because there are so many little details in outside and interior design! Views are amazing and I like how many zones are outside for having a dinner/breakfast/watching sunrise and sunset. We used all of them and couldn’t even decide which terrace is better, they all are having charming views. The house is in one hour drive from the Pilot mountain State park and in 1.5 hours drive from Hanging Rock State park that are still opened after the Helene hurricane. Also there’s a great vineyard Jolo with a restaurant that closing late. So we really enjoyed our stay! Thank you Lisa for your hospitality!
