A Wi-Fi repeater is available in the cabin (if the weather is stormy the Wi-Fi can be spotty). Phone service and shopping areas getting here are few & far between. This is rural living. Enjoy the quietness of the country and a beautiful sage brush view. Friendly reminder: no pets in cabin.

The Cawlfield House (Circa 1929)

The historic Cawlfield House was built by my grandfather in 1929. It has been beautifully restored with modern amenities and comforts. It has an updated Kitchen, Living, Dining, Bath, Office & two Bedrooms (1 plush queen bed down, 1 plush queen bed up & 1 trundle bed). Many of the furnishings came from Joanna Gaines collections. The Sandhill Suite is a newly remodeled home conveniently located five miles east of Burns just off highway 20. This cozy two bedroom home was remodeled in early 2023 and has lots of amenities to offer. Its a great option for extended stays or a quick weekend getaway and sleeps up to four people. We are close to the Steens Mountains, Malhuer Wildlife refuge and so much more! Harney County is the best place to bird watch in the spring, with over 300 different species of birds migrating through!
