We have the best of both worlds, stunning countryside & easy access to local amenities. We’re on Domen Fawr which is over 1653ft high. At the top you can see Pen y Fan & central Brecons. Heads of the Valley is nearby & provides great access across South Wales. Cardiff is an hour away by train. We are a quiet retreat, ideal for walkers, young families or couples wanting a relaxing, peaceful break. Pets are welcome but there are additional charges. Please ask us in advance as we have our own dogs.

The house is in a central location for outdoor adventure lovers with plenty of hiking spots and mountain bike trails a short distance away. The train station is a 4 minute drive up the road for an easy commute into Newport or Cardiff. Amenities nearby.

Blaenavon Log Cabin in the town of Big Pit

Get cozy and settle into this rustic space, close the curtains, light the log fire and chill to some music or maybe watch a film of your choice on Netflix. The cabin in situated on the edge of the Brecon Beacons close to the market town of Abergaveny, with walks, Cycle rides including mountain biking, cold water swimming. The cabin as heating on at all times, but if you want that wow factor, light up the log fire and just relax. (If you have never lit a log burner we can show you how to do it)

The Studio is attached to our smallholding however you have your own entrance along with private parking and garden. Please note this is part of our home so ideal for relaxing, walkers/cyclists or couples who want to relax but not to party, loud music etc, and therefore our quiet hours are 11pm- 6am. Parking is located at the property on a quiet street. There is also a very nice restaurant/pub just around the corner which over looks the river. The property is around 30 minutes away from Cardiff and 30 minutes away from the Brecon Beacons National Park. There is also a train station nearby.

Breakfast basics are included with fresh eggs from our hens when available Please be aware that this is only accessible by a single tarmac track that winds up the mountain. Access in the winter can be limited.
