Liverpool Manchester Preston Southport all within easy reach. We are within walking distance to Ormskirk hospital & Edge Hill University. Also easy countryside walks.

Lovely country cottage in Dalton / Parbold

Beautiful country cottage in a picturesque location with charming views situated on a public footpath leading to some of the best country walks within the North West. Blackbirds Cottage is a detached spacious two bedroom both en-suite holiday home situated in the heart of Douglas valley, within a ten minute walk to the idyllic village of Parbold which has three country pubs, a wine bar and cafe. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and wildlife you’ll be sure of a relaxed, private and peaceful stay.

Cosy accommodation at farmhouse in Dalton, Parbold

The cosy guest suite includes a living room with TV, leather sofa and armchair, small dining table and 2 chairs. There is a compact kitchen area equipped with combination oven/microwave, hob, fridge and all essential crockery and cookware. The bedroom has an oak framed king size bed with matching bedside tables and is furnished with pine furniture, curtains and a blind. The shower room is spacious and is en suite to the bedroom. There is gas central heating and blinds to most of the windows.

A beautiful 1863 home in the heart of historic Croston, opposite the village green with two dog-friendly pubs and excellent restaurants. Enjoy a tempting mix of takeaways nearby including luxury pizzas, Thai, curries, and top-notch fish and chips. The south-facing enclosed garden is ideal for unwinding with a drink in the sunshine. Scenic riverside and countryside walks start right from the doorstep. A key box at the front door means you can arrive whenever suits you. We’d love to host you!

The Annexe

The Annexe is a self contained property directly opposite our family home. All fixtures and fittings have been thoughtfully planned to ensure you have a comfortable stay. There is one large double bedroom with a luxurious king size bed, an open plan living area with a smart TV, log burner for cozy nights and electric heating. The bathroom has a large walk in electric shower. The property is suitable for up to two adults (not suitable for children/toddler’s due to the large pond nearby).

The Retreat Wrightington- 5 minutes from j27 M6

The Retreat is set in the heart of the Wrightington countryside. It is easy to get to, just a few minutes drive from J27 of the M6. Built on a working family run farm it offers stunning views from the living area that is based on the second floor. There are plenty of beautiful local walks in the area and places to eat and shop. Anyone wanting to visit the coast both Blackpool and Southport are within a 30 minute drive and cities like Preston, Manchester and Liverpool are also close by.

The Annex - relax in quiet, charming setting.

The annex, detached from the main house, is set within a beautiful landscaped garden. The spacious bedroom has a double bed and a Smart TV (you will have access to Sky, Netflix, Apple+, Paramount) the bathroom has a walk-in shower. The separate living area has a dining table, sofa and small fridge. Tea and coffee making facilities, cutlery and crockery (for takeaways etc.) are provided. Parking is at the front or side of the house. There is access to strong WiFI . Pets are welcome.

Newly completed, Swallows’ Rest lies in the heart of the Lancashire countryside. Originally a stable block, it has been lovingly transformed into a superbly appointed 3-bedroom holiday home. Swallows’ Rest has a modern open plan layout a well-equipped kitchen, relaxing lounge and private garden that overlooks our meadow and stone circle. The spacious bathroom enjoys both a large low-profile shower and full-size bath. Exclusive fishing is available for two rods on our lake.

Nestled in the picturesque village of Hilldale, rural Lancashire, this unique 2 bedroom, barn conversion combines rustic charm with eclectic flair. This location is very versatile in the sense that it's well connected by public transport to Manchester and Liverpool. It is 12 -15 miles from Southport, Ainsdale and Formby and the south Lakes can be reached in little over one hour. There's also lots to do locally, if guests don’t want to travel.
