There is a gas grill for perfect summer burgers, a trolling boat for exploring the beautiful lake, and a picturesque hiking trail. End your day by the gas fireplace, enjoying the sounds of nature, watching the sun set over the trees.

Get away to the country and experience life in a small town! Elizabeth is like going back in time…quiet and peaceful! Within walking distance, you can visit the 1819 Mercantile country store that dates back to 1860’s where you can get a southern breakfast and also has a Scooped Ice Cream Shop. Ceaser’s Southern Indiana Casino, Chariot Run Golf Course, South Harrison Community Park and Pool and Louisville, Ky are all within a short drive. Attractions include hiking, parks, caves and a pay lake.

The “Heron’s nest” is Four stories tall, with FOUR Bedrooms, THREE Full Bathrooms. Our Dawn Star cabin was built in 1998. It sleeps 8 comfortably with 2 bathrooms. It includes all appliances and also has a washer and dryer. You can skip the kitchen and dine on the deck if you prefer to use the gas grill instead. The 3-4 person hot tub will be waiting for you! Amazing view of the Ohio River from the porch. There is a dock for fishing or boating, however if the water is high the dock will not be accessible. This cabin is located in a private rural setting right on the river.
