what an amazing place! surrounded by the woods, wild animals to see especially coming back by car when it's dark, a cozy and relaxing atmosphere in the cottage. we loved everything about it! one can go everywhere even though it seems far from everything. but many hikes ans nature to see are within max. 40 minutes by car. (a car is an absolute must for this cottage). the only thing would be that the house does not get any sunshine. but there is a beautiful field 1 minute down the alley and I imagine it is perfect for the summer when it is warm but too hot in the sun. thanks also to Suzanne who was a great host and artist!

Great stay! The apartment was clean and the hosts were always very responsive and flexible. It was about a 10-15 drive to get into Bar Harbor so not too bad. WiFi was alright but did the job - wouldn’t be strong enough for a work from home situation, but strong enough for a vacation where we didn’t need it too often.

We had a wonderful stay. The house was immaculate and Ruby was super responsive and helpful. Perfect for families with the open plan. Modern and well stocked. Thank you!

We went for a girls mini getaway on the off season and fell in love with this property. It was stunning, peaceful, and cozy. The house itself had all the necessities to cook and just relax if we wanted. Alice and her cohost were great! They provided snacks and ingredients to make smores. Also, I loved the binder provided that gave instructions for the property and recommendations for food/ activities in the surrounding community. I definitely hope to return in the future to enjoy the property more as we had rain but made the absolute best of it! If you have a smaller vehicle I would use caution with the driveway as it is quite steep descend to the house. Overall absolutely breathtaking 😍 property and fabulous hosts!

Our stay at this AirBnB during Eastport’s Pirate Festival was more than we could have expected! The location was perfect, putting us right in the middle of the festivities, yet offering a peaceful retreat when we needed it. The space was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was incredibly accommodating, and the local recommendations truly made our experience special. We couldn’t have asked for a better home base for such a fun-filled weekend. We’ll definitely be back!

This location has a lot of beauty around it. Recommend arriving during the daylight as it is very dark and so you might need a flashlight to find the keys to get in if you come after dark. Might recommend motion sensor lights to help with this but not a huge deal breaker. They describe the door entrances very well but location this place using their instructions could seem a little vague based on how other entrances looked. But my GPS took us straight there with no issues so the description was not a huge deal. We chose to stay downstairs as it had the gas stove and main shower but the beds need a little attention to their frames as they were a little squeaky when laying down or moving any slight movement. The view was amazing and we got some great pictures of the northern lights. We were not there except to mainly sleep as our trip was for business but would have enjoyed this home if we stayed in the area again. If you need several beds, check this place out.

I chose Michelle’s cottage because I wanted to be right on coast of ME. And everything-location, cottage, hosts FAR exceeded my expectations. Crossing the creek during low tide was less intimidating under Rose’s superb direction. Cottage had everything needed; was extremely comfortable; quaint and charming!!! PERFECT!!! Lucked out with spectacular sunny, warm weather for mid October. Only one day overcast! Appreciate being able to bring my pup! Hosts were very welcoming and helpful! Enjoyed walking the coast 3-4 times a day with pup! Spoiled by morning visits from grazing deer. Had fun collecting treasures from the sea! Rose was phenomenal and I appreciated all her help and suggestions. Carefully crossing the creek during low tide less intimidating under Rose’s careful guidance. Absolutely LOVED every second there. Am so grateful I got to enjoy and appreciate this slice of heaven. Definitely would recommend. Well worth the 6+ hour trip from my home. Look forward to returning.

This was hands-down the best Airbnb we've ever stayed in. It was clean, and Tom was incredibly helpful in making sure we had everything we needed. The scenery was absolutely stunning and we could not have asked for a better stay. If we're ever in Maine again, you can bet we'll be back here to stay!

Would definitely recommend a stay here! The house is very clean and comfortable, and is in a great location to reach the shops as well as the lighthouse and beach. The house is well stocked with everything you need if you want to cook a meal, and the deck and hot tub were fabulous.
