We had a fabulous stay! The view over Sigiriya Rock is spectacular and we loved being able to cool off in the pool. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Our host was very friendly and responsive. We would definitely recommend this place!

My family and I had a short but great stay! The host is proactive, helpful and friendly and gave us a lot of helpful recommendations. It’s very close to all the historical and religious sights which proved very useful too. Thank you Anasuya, we’ll definitely be back!

The Raintree Retreat is a real gem! The property is huge and therefore each bookable house comes with a lot of privacy. The nature is stunning with fishes, turtles, lizards, monkeys and so many exotic birds to watch (incl. Kingfishers). At nighttime we even saw many fireflies. And to our surprise there are hardly any moskitos thanks to the fishes. Beside this amazing nature-experience our highlight were the hosts and their utmost welcoming and caring manner. Sue and her husband are such lovely people and we enjoyed the time we spend together. Uthpala took us even to a nearby river and we had a dip in the fresh water together. Our kids loved it! On top of all that we were really blown away by the ultra yummy food. Home cooked srilankan dishes in the evening and a great breakfast, always trying to match our kids taste (not spicy and lots of waffles and pancakes ;-) Thanks again for making our holidays sooo great!

We loved our stay here. We are backpacking around Sri Lanka and wanted to try something different than hostels and this was perfect. Such an experience! Animal sounds to listen to at night. So many beautiful fireflies at night. Hashan was a good host. Good at communicating and helping where help was needed. Thank you for this experience!

Devika is an amazing host, warm and friendly with a kind soul. Her family are very welcoming, and it was a pleasure to share there space. The tiny house is gorgeous. It's new and modern, with a well thought out design. We enjoyed preparing meals in the kitchen, while watching the squirrels out of the window. The location is great, only a short ride to supermarkets, restaurants and sites. The bikes were a massive bonus, and we made use of them every day. Devika's garden is very peaceful, a lovely place to relax. Her communication was excellent, and we would not hesitate in recommending her home.

We enjoyed our 3 nights stay at Peter’s cabin. It gave us a wilderness feel without really being in the wild. The cabin is in the village very near the tourist town centre. The space is as the photos. The cabin was clean. The bed was comfortable enough for us. It can get warm in the day but the ceiling fan on full blast helps. Lion’s rock can be seen clearly from the cabin. Although Peter was not there, he was a great host who was friendly, responsive and made every effort to ensure we had a nice stay.
