Just had a fantastic stay here - it's a beautifully presented shepherd's hut surrounded by rolling green. Host communication was great, and we found the hut to have everything we needed. The bed is comfy, the shower is great, and there is a functional kitchen. There are a couple of bbqs and a swim spa (a very large hot tub), making it easy to relax if you don't fancy going out. If you do want to go out, you can walk to local pubs or to Heale Gardens, which is lovely. I imagine most would come here by car but it is possible to train into Salisbury and get a taxi, as we did. All in all, we couldn't recommend this place enough - it's fantastic and I think we'll try and make it a yearly occurrence.

Sandra and Rob are always really kind, thoughtful and helpful hosts and it is a pleasure to stay with them.

A lovely little place to stay! We managed to book a last minute one night get away in the shepherds hut and it was a perfect choice for us. Hassle free booking with very good communication. A beautiful little hut in lovely surroundings. Easy to find and had everything we needed for our overnight stay. The hosts were very welcoming as were the neighbours who owned the big garden/field opposite! Found a great pub (The Crown) in the village where we enjoyed a lovely Sunday carvery! Overall a great overnight stay. Thank you!

Karen’s place is in tne most beautiful setting. Karen kindly came to meet my bus and checked in during my stay to make sure all was ok. Breakfast foods were provided which was handy and a nice addition on arrival. The shepherds hut was clean and comfortable and the wood burner kept me cosy during the cold evenings. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend. Many thanks Karen for a wonderful stay!

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the hut. Fiona was a really great host who came out to us even though it was late and raining! The hut was super warm on arrival and it has an internal heater and towel rail which is nice. It was also nice to be welcomed with some baked goods which we enjoyed the next morning. The bed was super comfy and we slept really well. The hot tub was nice to relax in… you get all the stuff provided for it which is good and on previous experiences this isn’t always the case. We used the Fire pit and you get some cushions to use which are under the bed and extra blankets which again is really nice. It’s exceptionally well thought out and the lord of added extras make it really nice. Would deffo return

Absolutely loved our stay! We will absolutely be back. Such beautiful Shepard's huts and so close to everything, yet hidden away! My 2 year old daughter loved sleeping in 'Peter rabbits house' and waiting for her egg and sausage bap in the morning. Thank you

We booked a couple of days for my mums birthday. Tracys communication was brilliant throughout and we arrived to a birthday banner and balloons in the hut. This place is so lovely we will def be returning, the goats are so friendly and were a real highlight, not to mention the ducks running past throughout the day. This is a peaceful getaway, in beautiful surroundings. I cannot fault Tracy at all she is a really lovely lady and on hand should you need anything. The hut was very comfortable and warm with beautiful views to wake up to, including goats at my window! Which I loved!! Overall a wonderful relaxing couple of days and we will def be returning. This was the second time we stayed at the glorious little Acorn Hut. Again we were very warmly welcomed by the family and we had a perfect stay! We will go back again!

WOW- I can’t recommend this listing any more highly. Lou went above and beyond to make our stay special. The drive through her garden/farm to get to the accommodation felt magical, before witnessing the stunning Shepard’s hut. If you’re looking for a cute countryside retreat, this is the one for you. It was so peaceful having a few drinks in the fairly light lit hot tub, before crashing on the large king sized bed. 15 minute drive to cheddar gorge, and only 5 minutes to local pub (or 20 min walk). Lou was super responsive the whole trip and did whatever she could to make our stay feel special. We will definitely be returning next year (potentially with friends as she has another studio with space for 2 more people on a separate listing). Thanks so much :)

Jenny was a great host! The Cabin was spotless on arrival! Very cosy and well equipped... As previous guests had noted the bed is super comfy!! The outside area for dogs is brilliant. Definitely recommend the Culm Valley Inn! Fantastic atmosphere - delicious home cooked food - 15 min walk. Strand Stores serve an incredible breakfast and sell high quality local produce! We also enjoyed a nice day out at Sidmouth beach..

We had a great stay. Claire is a great host and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay. The accommodation and hot tub were great, and the surrounding area is full of walks and great views. We particularly loved hearing about the farm and getting to meet the animals. A really unique getaway and would recommend to anyone.

100% recommend staying here. The pictures are exactly what it’s like in person and more! The attention to detail was amazing, everything you need for your stay is there. They even had hot chocolate and marshmallows for a cosy night around the fire-pit. Communication with the host was very formative, clear and in timely manner. We would definitely return as it is the perfect relaxing getaway but also walks/restaurants close. Thankyou so much!

I stayed at Jayne’s Blue Shepherd’s hut for two days and two nights, and it was phenomenal. The location is situated in green and exquisite Dorset county, surrounded by idyllic farmland and the songs and aroma of nature. The hut is the ideal cosy grotto to hide away from the world, but with all the world's amenities, having the internet and TV was perfect for a movie to see us off in bed. The hut aesthetic was a blend of rustic and rural industrial, with warm smoothing blues, raw wood and soft orange lighting creating the most smoothing and cosiest of settings. The outside area of the hut was everything you could ask for. Spacious decking, fire pit/bbq and the star of the show, the hot tub! My girlfriend and I spent our evenings basking in the warmth of the hot tub while surrounded by fairy lights and the night sky! It was so peaceful and relaxing. Furthermore, Jayne, the host, is lovely, friendly, and accommodating! She is very responsive and helpful. 10/10 would recommend!

Sally's place was the perfect getaway! If you're looking for somewhere that will be enjoyable for a dog who can be nervous of other dogs, this is a gem! No loose dogs, very secure garden, I could relax on the lounger or in the hot tub without worrying where he is or what he's doing. Sally is very dog savvy and has rescue dogs herself so was really understanding of my boy's needs which meant so much. The cabin was perfect for the 2 of us and had everything we needed in terms of facilities and ways to cook, everything thoughtfully done and a beautiful sunrise view over the fields. Great food options nearby, if you're vegan definitely check out Rob's Fish Bar for a really good vegan menu. Thank you Sally for a relaxing stay, we will definitely be back!

We booked this hut at short notice and Chris was extremely quick to reply and allowed us both to stay despite being advertised as a one guest booking. We received a warm welcome from Chris and lots of information about the hut. The location was perfect, close to everything, walks and the town. Plenty of places to choose from to eat and drink. The hut was basic ( not a surprise as the description told us that) and was very clean and tidy. Lovely garden to sit in and enjoy the evening sunshine. A lovely one night stay. Thank you.

Collie shepherds hut was just perfect! The hut was clean and well equipped, with some beautiful extra touches like crumpets and milk being provided. It had everything we needed for our weekend break. All bedding and towels were provided and there were things like a hairdryer for after the tub, blankets for a chilly evening and sticks to toast marshmallows on! The hot tub and fire pit were superb, and well used by us! It got soooo hot we were able to stay in for hours! The view was to die for- with rolling fields in front of us, with grazing horses, many different birds and the sound of cows and wildlife all around. It was in a very rural location which meant it was peaceful and tranquil. Lots of towns and cities near enough to get out exploring each day! The host was great at communicating and gave us a very friendly welcome. We would absolutely come back ❤️

We had a lovely one night stay in one of Jackie’s cabins after visiting family. Jackie was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived, walked us through everything was. We had milk and some chocolates waiting in the fridge, which was a great touch! Everything was perfectly clean and our stay was very peaceful. We stayed with our dog and the enclosed area allowed him to roam a bit, too. 100% recommend. Millie, Ieuan & Doogs

We had the most wonderful time at Danette’s shepherds hut. The views, wildlife and peace were incredible and the location was great for trips out with the dogs. We loved the attention to details in the hut, it made the experience very homely. Danette’s communication with us was great, she kept us up to date from start to finish. I am already looking forward to returning on our next trip!

A really lovely stay! Shirley was a wonderful host who meets you at the door and explains everything to you before leaving you to your own, peaceful space. The hut was kitted out with everything you could possibly need… cutlery, crockery, towels, heater and a fan etc. The location of the Shepherds Hut is great.. tucked away and private but also only a 5/10 minute drive from the beach and/or shops & restaurants etc. The only downfall was that there was no phone signal and no wifi as stated in the post - not anything to ‘mark down’ for but definitely something to be aware of when booking. A massive thank you to Shirley for a wonderful stay!

A lovely time was had over the bank holiday weekend at The Nest. The hut was exactly as described and included everything that we needed as well as being comfortable and cosy. Both pubs within the area were friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed a lovely local walk along the old railway line. We had a delicious roast lunch at the Spyway Inn which is just a short 10 minute drive from the hut with a lovely pub garden overlooking the Dorset countryside. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt very welcomed by our hosts. The hot tub was a particular highlight and the perfect way to relax and unwind at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return in the future!

Thank you for letting us stay in your delightful shepherd's hut. It was a really special place and private. It was a great setting for the dogs which made it extra relaxing for us.

Enjoyed every minute of our stay, even though the weather the first day was pants. It is what you make it, we had a lovely second day fire pit & bbq. The walks and views are something else, so peaceful and relaxing. Had everything we needed, our little doggie had her own space which she loved! Was nice to relax and not stress about leads, own private garden. Would definitely be back
