The home is very lovely. It felt safe in the neighborhood. I failed to read information about a resident cat however, and I'm allergic to cats. The cat was not there at the time and thanks to the cleaning that preceded our stay, I did not have an allergic reaction. Thank you, Lisa

Had a lovely stay at Annette and Fred’s place - the location was great, the house was fully stocked and the hosts were extremely responsive when we had questions. Having a hot tub and gas fireplaces were an added bonus for spending the evenings admiring the views.

We loved this home. The area was great and near everything and the street was nice and quiet for the area. The home was immaculate, the care to maintain this home is obvious! Next time we are in San Francisco, this will be our first choice for lodging.

This was a lovely cottage for a romantic weekend away. We loved watching the sunrise over the water from the deck. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We would love to stay again sometime.

Quiet, peaceful, beautiful garden, responsive host, ample street parking. Definitely worth the price. Plus there's a hot tub you can use after the end of a long day or before the start of one like how we used. MINUTES away from bars, restaurants, and shopping in Oakland. Great location. I'm tempted to only say horrible lies about this place, because I want to keep this gem all to myself. But I can't think of a single negative thing to say about this place. The location was gorgeous, the interior design was beautiful, and the hot tub in the middle of the redwoods was just the cherry on top.

My husband and I had a very peaceful and relaxing two weeks at Laura and Kiran's guest cottage in Kensington. The setting, a Eucalyptus grove in the hills above Berkeley, was idyllic. We loved the beautiful views and sunlight from the windows overlooking our private deck. The hot tub made the trip even more special, as did the exquisite textiles and artwork decorating the cottage. The wealth of travel books and histories of the Bay Area were a wonderful resource, as were our hosts, passionate fans of their long-time home. Highly recommend!

My daughter and I had a fantastic stay! The place was spotless, well-equipped with great amenities, and exactly as described. The garden and backyard truly stand out as it provided such a peaceful and safe atmosphere in a larger city. The host was also very friendly and made everything easy and comfortable. If we ever come back to the Bay Area, we will definitely stay again! ☺️

A great space. Such a lovely renovated house. A great family friendly spot if you do not want the hustle and bustle of San Fran but close enough for a day trip to the main spots in the city. We loved heading back to the house after a day in San Fran.

This was, by far, one of the best Airbnb homes and stays we have been in. The home is spacious, functionally perfect and delightfully decorated. Each room is stocked with all the supplies you could possibly need and there is generosity in the unexpected bonuses - coffee powder and pods, as well as thoughtful snacks for the little ones in our family. The home is located in a quiet and beautiful residential area, and there is a grocery store and several great dining options within walking distance. The beds are very comfortable and there was not one thing in the bedrooms, bathrooms or kitchen that we felt was missing or of questionable quality. If we are ever in the greater SFO area again, we hope this home will be available for us to stay in. Thank you Nancy and Lance for an unforgettable and wonderful experience in the Half Moon Bay Area.

Guliz's beautiful, light filled purple cottage was absolutely perfect in every way; just lovely! The Coastal trail is a block away, leading over the bluffs to the stairs that take you to Poplar Beach in one direction and through the ancient Cypress tree tunnels to the reserve beyond. Guliz is a sweetheart, coming quickly to help with the fireplace settings when we struggled with the remote. We rented two of her properties to coordinate with friends who would have a shorter stay. Our three friends stayed here and will definitely consider returning for a longer stay.

I enjoyed my time at Audrey’s place. They are centrally located and the backyard is a beautiful place to work or unwind. Audrey, Jordie, and the pups were very friendly and hospitable. I would highly recommend their place for any guest visiting Oakland.

We had a wonderful week at this property. The home is beautifully situated with expansive views and a peaceful atmosphere that made for a very relaxing stay. Despite feeling tucked away, it was a quick and pleasant walk into town, where we enjoyed coffee shops, restaurants, and local spots. The house is well-appointed and comfortable, with particularly cozy beds. The driveway is steep, but we found it straightforward to navigate. Overall, this was a great base for our time in the area. Easy drives to Muir Woods, Point Reyes, and other local hiking options. We would gladly return on a future visit.

Staying in Kathleen’s bungalow is always a special treat. It is well-maintained, exceptionally clean and beautifully furnished and decorated. Kathleen herself lives close by and she is a very kind and responsive host. I highly recommend both her and her cozy bungalow when visiting Fairfax and the surrounding area. – Leslie

I had a magic few days at Lori and Mike's. I drive a VW passat and I found the drive up the mountain to be non-challenging and even very fun by the end. The hosts are cool and easy to get along with. A+ doggo. Hot tub was great. Pool was fun. I usually stay in SF when I'm in the Bay Area. This was much more lovely and relaxing, with SF close enough that going in for dinner or a show felt like it wasn't a big deal. 100% would recommend this place. I brought my cat and had my lady friend with me for a night. Everyone loved it.

This is the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. It was super clean, had a bunch of awesome and thoughtful amenities. Amazing location and view as well. The absolute nicest and sweetest hosts ever! Highly recommend this place.

Nancy was the nicest and most accommodating host we’ve had at a rental so far. We arrived late one evening when I realized I misplaced the dinner I’d packed to eat when we arrived and when I asked Nancy (who was greeting us when we first arrived) about pizza delivery options, she offered us a nice frozen cornbread pizza to cook in the rental. My hungry young son was so relieved. The backyard overlooks an incredibly green and peaceful hillside and we had such a relaxing time. Also downtown Fairfax is so close by and so adorable. Would love to come back!

Amazing place? Great heated pool, love the house has a lot of stuff and very well appointed and decorated. It has the best palm trees very safe, Our kid loved swimming in the pool. Strongly recommend for any stay! This is our second time here and will come again for sure. Love how the rooms are laid out, bathrooms.

Everything was perfect the house was amazing with its pool and hot tub… Everything mentioned was there but unfortunately the Air-conditioning wasn’t available for the first floor and the fans in the rooms where not enough for cooling. Lastly, Rahel the host was very welcoming and we had an easy check-in. Great communication she was very responsive to our notes…

We stayed at Sara's while visiting family nearby, but her home felt like a vacation in itself. The backyard is magical - we spent a fair amount of time there, swimming, grilling/dining, reading/napping. The backyard (and its myriad diversions) even lured our tech-obsessed teenagers away from their devices for extended periods. Everything was well maintained, no detail overlooked. We also enjoyed the access to a peloton bike and workout equipment. The interior was clean, organized, stylish but comfortable. The sunroom and small courtyard off of the bedrooms were great for yoga or stealing a quiet moment with a cup of coffee or book. Sara was responsive and attentive. Instruction booklet was clear and helpful. The stay exceeded our expectations. We hope to be back.

Exceptional hilltop home! Highly recommend. Full wall of windows offers stunning views, and living room and kitchen are flooded with natural light. Immaculately clean and thoughtfully designed throughout. Entire home has a designer touch. Well-equipped kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, furniture and beds very comfortable. We enjoyed exploring the fragrant, well-maintained spring garden, with numerous blooming daffodils and hyacinths. Walking paths throughout. Geraldine was responsive and helpful, providing great recommendations for local hikes and restaurants that proved spot-on. Geraldine has clearly put careful thought into creating a comfortable, peaceful retreat. Perfect for anyone seeking a quiet getaway in a beautiful setting
