The 250 square foot "Pine Cone" is a one room, round yurt-style cabin located on our 8 acre property. We border the Pine River in Richland County, center of the beautiful Driftless region of southwest Wisconsin. Perfect for a quiet, nature-based retreat, we are less than four hours drive from Chicago, Milwaukee, and the Twin Cities. The Perry Pines Yurt is a 4-season yurt on Perry Lake less than 2 miles from Cable. With quick access to CAMBA mountain bike trails (4 miles to the North End Trailhead), the Birkie Start Area (5 miles), and on an ATV route, it's a great basecamp for your outdoor activities. Sit on the deck and listen to the loons in the summer or warm up next to the woodstove or in the barrel sauna in the winter. Enjoy a full kitchen, bathroom w/shower, lake views, and a fun little unique cabin option!

Driftless Yurt on Harmony Ridge

Our little piece of heaven is located 9 miles NW of Viroqua, WI. Our yurt is nestled in 14 acres of red /white oak, walnut and maples above the Bad Axe River. The yurt is 300 sq. ft, comfortably sleeps 4, pet friendly and has a large wrap around deck. We have a wood burning stove, propane cooking stove top, a fully stocked kitchen galley, 8 gallons of drinking / cooking water, propane and fire pit grill, there's an extra deck with picnic table, manual shower and composting toilet.

Adjacent to Routt National Forest and the Zirkel Wilderness. Moose, elk, deer, pronghorn, bear, wolf, fox call this special place home. Cabin is off-grid, dry cabin. Private trails for hiking, biking, xc ski or snowshoe on our Elk Run Trail. 4wd preferred travel in winter. Parking is at the cabin or for low clearance vehicles 200 feet below. Wood burning stove for heat. Blackstone grill & French Press provided. Solar lights. Water is supplied. Compost potty.

Yurt-cabin at Grass River Retreat.

A yurt-cabin is an all season, insulated hard panel style “yurt-cabin”, that is heated with a wood stove. The yurt is off-grid powered by solar, a composting toilet and outdoor heated shower. Relax, unwind and disconnect while you are “cozy camping” , next to the Popo Agie River on a shared 3-1/2 acres. We are frequented by an abundance of wildlife and you will be welcomed by our two friendly llamas (Trip and Journey), ducks and chickens.
