a beautiful home, very well tended garden in a peaceful spot. we were away for a wedding so didn't have time to make use of all the facilities although the youngsters found the games room ! we were a group of 8 people age range from 19 to 91 and it was perfect. plenty of space. Thank-you

We absolutely loved our stay at Abbey Dore. The house was spacious, brilliant kitchen and dining room area with two lovely living rooms. It had everything we needed, and we absolutely loved the swimming pool and gym. Bedrooms were lovely and beds were comfy. Emma and Daniel were so responsive to any questions we had. Beautiful surroundings, Gwatkin Red Cow was a brilliant recommendation- the roast was fab! We loved our stay and would absolutely consider coming back again.

This was our third stay at Lois’s place, albeit the first in the eco house, as opposed to the barn. The house was both comfortable and quirky, qualities we have come to expect from our charming and artistic hosts. Unusual pictures, books, design features - one is entertained at every turn, while the leafy surroundings (the beautiful garden and driveway as well as Redland Green itself) make it all worthwhile. Lois or her husband Paul are always on hand to help you with any questions and have a chat with you at the same time. We heartily recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for something a bit different and off the beaten track yet within walking distance of decent shops, cafés and restaurants.

We had an a amazing stay. The home was so comfortable. I was visiting with 7 friends so they set all the room as single beds which was perfect for us. The pool was so nice and we enjoyed an evening swim while watching movies on the projector. The area is so peaceful and there are some lovely pubs nearby such as the litton. I would love to visit again!

Spacious and comfortable house for our family of 6 during a rainy February half term. The main reason to rent this place was the pool and sauna which didn’t disappoint and was great for our kids. There is a builder’s merchant right next door to the house which isn’t obvious from the photos but was not a particular problem with respect to noise etc. Lots of great walks nearby - which we will have to rediscover in the future in better weather! Thanks to Phoebe and the owners for making us feel welcome and for being available and responsive to our questions.

Picked the Lodge for a Bank Holiday break with friends and it didn’t disappoint. We were warmly welcomed by Mel who gave us some great local recommendations. House was clean and had all the required amenities. Having the pool for the morning was great fun. Would recommend Small breeds centre if you have young children and Hay on Wye for a wander round

Lovely hidden family staycation! Lovely location with loads of parking Easy check-in 13 mins drive to Breacon! Brilliant hot tub with amazing views (Only comment would be Chlorine content was a tad high for anyone with sensitive skin) Kitchen and bathroom were clean and cosy! Kitchen is fully equipped with amenities (Sauce pots and trays were available but no frying pans which is no big deal) Lovely welsh biscuits on arrival! Definitely recommend for a lovely retreat!

I enjoyed staying at Gillian's cottage and I want to return . There is a cycle path nearby which I want to explore on lighter evenings.

We spent 2 weeks at Woodbank House and had the best time. The highlights are the kitchen and the grounds. The skies at night are amazing. Bess is a terrific host, perfect communication and so helpful. Thank you so much, I hope we get a chance to stay again! X

We stayed for two nights in this lovely accommodation, whilst visiting a friend in Crickhowell. It had everything we needed, and is in a great location, right in the centre of Crickhowell. It’s the ideal base for exploring the beautiful local area. We would definitely stay again.

Fantastic barn very clean and spacious and well equipped. Very peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Bedrooms were lovely with luxury bedding. Host responded to questions and was very flexible with our check in which I am very appreciative of. I read the reviews before booking and I can’t understand the couple of negative comments about the external space. We have two boxers and the outside was perfectly safe and secure. A large courtyard outside the property which was more than adequate space for two lively boxers to run around in and a garden area beyond that two separate gates securing the areas. Yes you have to open and shut the gates but what do you expect?! And as for wood piles I didn’t feel there was anything my dogs could hurt themselves on and anyway most dog owners supervise their pets. The host had also left a pet gate to stop the dogs going upstairs. Oh and I forgot to mention a surprise bottle of Prosecco in the fridge. So all round it’s 5 stars from me!

We had a good memory at place. House was really neat and tidy everything. My friends likes place too. No complaints thank you so much.

This was our second stay (of hopefully many!) at the magical Long Barn and it was even better than we’d remembered! It’s full of charm and personality everywhere you look. The open kitchen/living area is perfect for spending time together and feels so homely. The sofas and beds are very comfortable. Shower water pressure is top notch! The instructions for appliances and recycling were very clear and helpful and Simon is a very responsive host. The outside is just as beautiful as the inside and it was a privilege to be able to call this place ‘home’ for a few days. Diolch yn fawr for another fantastic stay!

Great place, very clean and well stocked. Victoria was a fabulous host and was always on hand to answer any questions and offer local advice. Great location in town, close to local amenities and walks. The outdoor areas and garden are lovely too. Highly recommend this house.

This is a great place to stay if you’re looking for a quiet relaxing stay in the countryside. Melissa is a charming host, very friendly and full of local knowledge. The flat has all you need. I imagine it is very cosy and warm when it’s colder.

This is a modern, comfortable house on a new development. It’s within easy walking distance of Offa’s Dyke, Wye Valley Greenway, nice restaurants and the local Tesco. Convenient regular bus service from town that we used to go to Tintern and walk back. The house is well equipped should you wish to cook and felt very welcoming. arrival is by keylock but contact from Jonathan was regular and friendly. I would highly recommend this house.

We had a wonderful stay at Jan’s place in Usk. The house is clean and beautifully decorated and was perfect for our family break. Jan was a great host and responded to any questions quickly. We would love to come back again in the future.

Without doubt the most magical experience! We loved the cottage, views and surrounding walks. It was really difficult to leave Little Darren and I wholeheartedly cannot wait to return. Dan and Hannah were super helpful and responsive - huge thanks!!

The place is beautiful and Matthew was a great host. He even accommodated my last-minute request for a reservation date change, which he didn't need to do, and my group were so grateful. We had a wonderful time and would recommend to others. We'll certainly look to come back if we're ever in South Wales again! Thanks Matthew.

Very cosy stay, which was in a good location from the David Broome Event Centre which I was going back and forth from. Had everything I needed and was clean and tidy - would stay again!

I can't rate The Old Woodshed highly enough. We arrived late on the day of check-in to a beautifully calm and welcoming space complete with a sweet welcome message from Amanda. The accomodation was clean, comfortable and had enough outdoor seating so that you could follow the sun around the garden. The setting was incredibly peaceful and was ideally located for all our sightseeing, cycling and hiking needs. Thanks Amanda for a wonderful stay!
