Luna’s place is right on the 17 mile drive so very central to so many things in the area. 10 minutes from the aquarium, 5 minutes for Carmel By the Sea, 5 minutes from Monterey. 15 minutes to Los Lobos State Park and 10 minutes from Carmel River State Beach which we enjoyed greatly on our two night stay. The queen bed and the futon were very comfortable. Linens were clean and didn’t smell strongly of fabric softener which I greatly appreciate. The bathroom and shower were clean and everything worked. The kitchen is minimal, mini fridge, coffee maker is a French press not an automatic which I didn’t mind at all and brought ground coffee to enjoy each morning. There’s no stove, oven, or cook top so just make a note of that. We didn’t need to cook on our trip since there are great restaurants everywhere. One of the main roads of the 17 mile drive does go by the house so you’ll hear cars go by but it wasn’t disruptive to us. Definitely a bargain for the very nice area you’re staying in!

This was the most beautiful space on an incredible regenerative working ranch. The staff was so nice and gave us a real sense of the full operation. The historic cottages were beautiful. We loved the colors in the Cheese House. The view from our porch was amazing and it felt so private - a real get away from the cities we visited on vacation. We also loved that hikes were possible right outside your door. And we saw a condor!!!! Although star gazing was the only night entertainment needed, we had a delicious dinner at the Inn down the road. We loved the wine tasting nearby. And we spent a day in Monterey. I’d come back over and over.

Helaine’s place was perfect for our weekend trip. Clean, accessible, with an adorable patio. She was very communicative and would be happy to stay again.

Paicines Ranch was great! We only stayed a night, but will likely go back since it was very nice, comfortable, peaceful, and in a good location. Really appreciate the clear instructions and they had everything we need to rest well. Definitely recommend it!

Paicines Ranch was the perfect location for our trip to Pinnacles National Park. If you love farm animals, this is the stay for you! I loved waking up to the horses outside the window and the sheep a short walk away. If you are arriving at night, finding the cottage can be tricky, so I’d recommend getting there in the daylight if possible! The stay was just what we needed and I would love to come back and further explore the property!

Robbie war ein toller Gastgeber. Bei Fragen oder Problemen war er immer hilfsbereit. Der RV ist geräumig und verfügt über alles was man braucht. Die neue Matratze ist super bequem. Robbie zeigte uns die Tiere (Ziegen, Alpakas, Pferd) seiner Ranch und wir durften sie sogar füttern und streicheln.

A wonderful little cottage, tucked away next to Carmel River. Super quiet. Quiet street. Carmel Valley at its best.

This is the most stylish Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in, beautifully laid out but also very comfortable. Set in a tranquil and quiet location, the setting is very peaceful (the patio is amazing). Jorie is an excellent host, she gave us great recommendations. Check in was a breeze and we got to enjoy local chilled wine and olives when we arrived! For a few days, we felt so…Californian (in the good way) 😎

This place was so cute and perfect for our stay. It was clean and looked new and well maintained. Martha was accommodating to our needs and very responsive. We felt really at home and enjoyed our stay there. We would stay here again next time we are in the area.

We had a great stay at Matt’s. It was comfortable and just what we needed. Matt was a great host - very responsive and helpful.

Marketa’s home was very clean upon arriving, beautiful, and just as described. She had literally everything we needed available, including cleaning products, soap, shampoo, feminine hygiene products; you name it. We ran into her outside (the location is on host property I believe), she was very kind, and offered extra amenities for our small child. They even had toys under the entertainment center that helped tremendously with keeping our child entertained. I would absolutely go back and stay here again!

Great place to unwind and unplug. Would definitely recommend to anyone that needs to decompress. The cabin was halfway between Carmel and Big Sur so it’s perfect

Really enjoyed my stay here! The place was clean and comfortable, and the shower was especially nice after long days of hiking. It’s also in a super convenient location—perfect for exploring some of the best trails in Big Sur. A great home base for a hiking-focused trip. Would definitely recommend!

The house is very cosy, welcoming, and clean. The host is very kind, and responsive. She responds to messages within minutes and is very flexible. We felt welcomed and supported. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped. I highly recommend this place for itself, and for the quality of communication with the host.

I had to stay for work, and the place really felt cozy. All amenities are available inside and it is very private. I had to make last minute changes and Josephine was kind enough to grant it. Will definitely recommend the place.

Was in town for a few weeks for work and stayed at Irene's place. Irene, thank you, you were a great host! The place was clean and had everything you need for a long term stay. Peaceful neighborhood not far from Salinas and surrounding beach towns. I would definitely stay here again.

This was my first time staying in the Highlands and I could not have been happier with Jonathan’s guest house. It was a luxurious retreat high above the tree tops with incredible ocean and mountain views. I melted into the sectional couch and watched the sky show of hawks, jays and drifting clouds. Everything I needed was there, including a very comfortable bed and top notch cooking supplies. The house was clean and furnishings were thoughtfully arranged and beautiful, just enough to feel warm and inviting but not cluttered. The location was perfect and I looked forward to returning home from every excursion, just to sit on the deck and experience the peaceful surroundings. Thank you, Jonathan, for sharing your delightful guest house!

This guest house was absolutely incredible. The location cannot be beat. The amenities were awesome. The house was well stocked, we did not need anything. Our host was amazing, so kind, so responsive and very nice. We plan to come back next year for the Sea Otter Classic race and this will be the place we stay. We absolutely loved this place. It is located in the stunning Carmel Valley in a quiet neighborhood, and is a beautiful guest house. It is a close drive to everywhere we wanted to visit: Carmel by the Sea, Monterey, and Point Lobos. The guest house was very clean and had everything we needed. The bed was big and comfortable. It was super cozy and has access to outdoor seating. The shower was very nice and big. The hosts were kind, flexible, and responsive. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking to visit Monterey or Carmel!
