I (and I speak for our entire group of 4) would say that this place and the experience exceeded our expectations. From the proactive nature of our host, meeting us at the highway gate to coming by upon our departure and escorting us back out everything was fantastice. We had Springboks, Eland, Wildebeests and Girafe "greet" us up the riverbed while we enjoyed a deserved brew from the covered deck. Later during our stay we had the privilege of seeing Hartebeests, Oryx, and even an inquistive young Sable! Another treat was the several hectar-sized pond and easy 2km hike from the cabin. Egyptian Geese, some Shovelers, Spoonbill and Black-breasted plovers were easy to spot. Then there was the plentiful and excellent supply of firewood, perfect for our daily "braie" or BBQ. Our "braie-meister" was a happy camper as were the rest of us as we feasted on lamb, sausage and ribs. Lastly, we got to know our hosts, Fabienne and Serge. A special treat. We already want to come back!

We absolutely adored this place! The landscape provided a peaceful atmosphere perfect for relaxing. One of our favorite activities was going for walks along the fields to see the sunsets and waking up early to see the sunrises. We also spent a lot of time by the pool, which was very nice! Mandy, Rowland, and Pablo was incredibly kind to us, providing everything we needed as well as showing us their farm and their production. The food prepared by the cook Stanford never disappointed and we were all in all extremely satisfied with our stay! We payed to participate in a cooking class which was interesting and the food turned out very tasteful. We did expect that we would be cooking with the chef, when in reality we only observed him. However, we learned a lot from this and it was a good experience. We were five women in our early twenties staying here for three nights, and we highly recommend this place both to other friend groups, families, and couples of every age!

Namibia is a hoot. Easy going and delightful place and people. The town seems to have a kind soul and community spirit. Astra is a wonderful host. Highly recommend. We will return.

Absolutely amazing stay at Steinheim Farm. The location was perfect, offering stunning views and a true sense of peace and tranquility. The accommodation was not only comfortable but also beautifully designed. Jacques was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Namibia!

Our stay was really fantastic for our dogs and had plenty to keep our children busy. Was a lovely getaway being outdoors and exploring nature. Greg was super helpful in settling us in and allowing us to take our dogs on walks down to the dams. The house's interiors and kitchen is older than we expected, however the rooms and bedding was comfortable. Overall there was more to do and enjoy, than what we expected!

I happened to have an emergency and Lentelie was more than willing to help me. Seldom have I had a host so eager to help a guest. Without the help of this host I would not have managed to cross the border in the timely manner that I did. Thank you Lentelie for everything.

Stayed three months while doing research in Maun. I highly, highly recommend Witness and his place for anyone needing longer term accommodation in town (researchers, volunteers, etc.) It was comfortable and private but also Witness and his team were always there if I needed anything at all during my stay (laundry was a god-send!). It's a more affordable option for longer stays than other places in town that cater exclusively to folks passing through on safari. You'll be incredibly well-looked after but also have your own space with kitchen facilities and all the amenities you need in a one bedroom flat. Witness and his family live on-site, so they are always there with a smile or a helping hand. They make you feel like you are at home, which is wonderful for a longer-term rental. And you'll love getting to know Ginger, the Jack Russell Terrier!

Wir haben dort zwei Tage verbracht und hatten eine wirklich wunderbare Zeit. Das Haus selbst war einfach perfekt für uns. Es war sauber, gemütlich und sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Betten waren sehr bequem, und wir haben jede Nacht gut geschlafen. Die Küche hatte alles, was wir brauchten, und wir konnten problemlos unsere Mahlzeiten zubereiten. Der Wohnbereich war ebenfalls sehr einladend, und wir haben dort viel Zeit damit verbracht, uns zu entspannen und die schöne Umgebung zu genießen. Die Lage des Hauses war ebenfalls ideal. Es war ruhig und friedlich, aber dennoch in der Nähe von allem, was wir brauchten. Wir konnten leicht die Gegend erkunden und hatten einen tollen Spaziergang durch die Natur. Es war wirklich der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für unsere kleinen Abenteuer. Was jedoch wirklich herausragend war, war die Gastfreundschaft. Sie waren so freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben wirklich dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns wie zu Hause fühlten. Wir danken Ihnen nochmals für alles!

Pianoforte was the perfect place and just what we needed to rest and recharge after some car troubles. The hosts were welcoming and incredibly helpful - responsive to all requests and helped us settle in quickly. The flat itself is spacious while still feeling cozy, and has everything you need (and more!) for a comfortable stay. Location-wise, it cannot be beat as it’s writhin easy walking distance of shops, wonderful cafes and restaurants, and the best of all, the beach! Thank you!
