Jennie greeted us and let us into her wonderful property, showing us the best places to take walks and visit in the area. An extremly lovely house to come back to after long walks or day trips out and even had the perfect weather to enjoy the hot tub. It was just two of us staying in the property so more than enough room for anyone with a party of 4 looking to book somewhere - a positive and amazing first Air BnB experience, highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying here!

This cabin is an absolute gem! David and his wife are the most welcoming hosts, making sure every detail is perfect. The space is spotless, stylish, and beyond comfortable. You can feel the love and care they put into hosting. We loved every moment and would come back in a heartbeat!

Such a magical weekend, thank you for having us! It was so peaceful and the animals were all so beautiful (even if the alpacas were a bit cheeky) The hottub made a fabulous finish to each evening under the stars. We will definitely be coming again!

Natalie's place is a perfect! The location is one of the kind with Carsington Water views and rolling fields in the distance. If you like the outdoors and farm life and being surrounded by beautiful scenery, this is the place to stay! We loved it there. Listening to the farm livestock hussle and nloises, being close up - is what I think made is special for us. We could walk with the dogs on a lead though their field. The cottage was great - had everything you needed, comfy and had a lovely homely feel to it. Clean & tidy place. The Hot Tub was a bonus, we didn't get the chance to walk with the Alpacas, but saw them in the distance. I'd recommend it. Thank you Natalie!

We just spent 2 nights at Fred and Charlotte's glamping retreat - and what a weekend! In a peaceful and private location, the accommodation is beautifully clean, well-equipped and was absolutely perfect for our group of 14! Especially loved the hot tub, fire pit area, spacious kitchen/ dining room and the on-site bar! We even had a yoga class in the field alongside the surrounding cows and horses! I would highly recommend to any other large groups looking for somewhere to stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

We had a great couple of nights away as a family with 3 children and a dog. the surrounding walks were great ways to get plenty of fresh air. Just what was needed and the children absolutely loved finding the animals around the farm. Katie and Nathan were great hosts who left us to it unless we needed anything then was very responsive to any questions we had. the Dairy is a lovely little place to stay that had everything we needed. The hot tub was well worth getting too as completed our break nicely! Will defo hope to stay again.

We stayed here this week with my sister and family and there was ample room for us all, we LOVED having loads of bathrooms and a huge kitchen and the pigs, peacock and chickens outside the kitchen window were a constant source of entertainment for the kids (and our dog!). The setting is beautiful. It’s so peaceful with gorgeous views over the countryside. We will be back next year!

Loved our stay at Gibb Tor - beautifully converted bar and full of personality. Lyndsey was exceptionally communicative. I was poorly for some of my stay, Lyndsey was flexible and generous with our check out time, and it became a relaxing retreat to get better. Would definitely visit again.

I had a fantastic stay at Wendy's place. it is set in a stunning location surrounded by open space and views of the hills from the garden. its has a well equipped kitchen and comfortable living room with a beautiful log burner. This house is great for a trip to the peak district. I would very much recommend this property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Swallow Cottage which was spacious, well appointed, comfortable and scenic! It was a home away from home for our party of six adults. Claire and Sammie were responsive and always helpful. We’d stay again in a heart beat especially during Spring when the local area is stunning! We especially enjoyed the produce at the local butcher and bakery at Woodmill Farm. Thank you, Claire and Sammie, for a perfect getaway!

Loved the house and location. Turn right out of the back gates and it's a nice 10-15 minute stroll into the centre of town. Only two of us stayed but definitely big enough for 4 people. It felt like being home. Vicky the owner has a great collection of vinyl LP's and kindly allowed us to use her player. Highly recommended! Mike Wood

wow, I was amazed with the views, the size of kithen and dinning area, rooms, numbers of toilets! it was all what we were looking for. The energy of house itself was very positive! thank you for a lovely stay!

I don’t usually leave reviews but for this special place I’d like to share that this cottage has it all. It’s in a great location, oozing with history and charm, well appointed, clean and has lovely furnishing. Also comfy beds, a good shower and great seating on the private paved area at the front of the property. There’s approx 100 dvds to browse. Kim was a great host, and I felt everything was thought out for our comfort and enjoyment, from the real log fire to the complimentary fizz and chocky bics. So many personal touches. When I reported an issue with the Wii, it was fixed asap. Just in case you’re wondering, I’m not related to the host (lol), it’s just that this is a really special place! Think of the cottage in the movie The Holiday. I look forward to revisiting.

We had a large group stay for 2 nights, and found that the communal spaces worked really well. We appreciated having enough space for people to sit and eat together, with a separate lounge area that was similarly big enough for everyone to comfortably gather. The beds were comfortable, and the flexibility of the layout was appreciated. We had a nice meal out that was only 10mins drive away, and enjoyed the nice walks in the area. Communication from the host was responsive. There is only one small parking space at the property but there was plenty of on-street parking within close proximity.

Patricia's home is lovely, warm and cozy. We booked at the last minute so that our family could spend Christmas together. We appreciated the lovely welcome and provision of staples like milk, butter, tea, coffee, juice and also crusty bread. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a full Christmas dinner with ease. Patricia had even gone to the trouble to decorate her home for Christmas for us, which was very special. We all enjoyed our time together there. It is a bonus to have a full bathroom and an extra toilet for a family, too. The setting in the park is peaceful and welcoming and there are nice walks around the woods and lakes; our dog loved it, too. This is a wonderful place to stay in every way and Patricia is a very thoughtful and accommodating host. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay. Impressive pool, garden furniture and landscaping to make the most of the sun. Ideal location for touring local sites. Izzy and partner were very welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. The space is great and as an extra bonus, you get to use a heated pool and brilliant games room. We went early Jan and there was loads of snow, as well as pretty cold temperatures, but the house warmed up very quickly and we were always more than comfortable. The property is close enough to Bakewell for a short drive or taxi ride, should you want to venture into town. We're thinking about going back in the summer.

What a wonderful stay at Manor Farm. The house was beautiful, well maintained, extremely spacious and very comfortable. The surrounding countryside was stunning, with great food being served in nearby pubs and plenty of places to visit. Great space for youngsters too, with the wildlife - baby rabbits, sheep and birds and of course the swimming pool and games room, all of which they loved. Thanks to the hosts for their welcome and hospitable atmosphere.

Brilliant location, we stayed at Clover House before and after our wedding in Sheffield with a party of six. Very comfortable, spacious accommodation and the hot tub was lovely and well maintained. Also loved the goats and great space in the field for taking our dog with lots of walking available nearby. We also visited Matlock farm park 5 minutes down the road which was a big hit with our 3 year old niece. Overall great dog friendly house and location, and host available and responsive to queries. Highly recommended.

Great value for money. Can't stress enough how friendly and reliable the staff were. We had a lovely week stay, the house was clean, the beds were comfy and the scenery was perfect. We were informed of the booking system for the swimming pool and games room, so you could have the room to yourself which was great. The pool was clean, the games room was kept tidy and the house surroundings were really lovely to walk around. You can tell the grounds were well maintained and kept in good shape as the workers never stopped, but were always so friendly. This property is perfect for bike riders, walkers and pub crawlers. You couldn't get bored.

Very beautiful surroundings and cleverly executed indoor swimming pool, sauna and massage rooms! Some minor issues with the heating of the Manners and sounds of the swimmers below however it’s a great little escape! Highly recommend it.
