What a wonderful, peaceful oasis! The treehouse at the Shire is just incredible! The hosts were very welcoming and communicative. The grounds and property are just stunning. There are also trails and a trail map to adventure on the property. They also have a very sweet pup, Bo, who became best friends with my dogs (after a friendly introduction and me asking if he was free to play). I can’t say enough positive things about this place! Great location to hike and have a peaceful respite, but close to restaurants too! Also, LGBTQ+ friendly!

Great home. Very private and plenty of space. Walking distance (via a fire road) to Shenandoah National Park and the Appalachian Trail. Plenty of nice touches to keep adults and kids feeling at home. Excellent value for the price.

Le chalet sur le lac est idyllique. Belle vue, emplacement idéal sur le lac en hauteur. Le chemin pour s’y rendre en hiver est un peu sportif mais ça se fait bien, voyagez léger ! Le chalet est bien équipé, mais amenez vos oreillers pour plus de confort. Les matelas sont un peu dur mais en camping comme ça on doit s’y attendre. Super bien équipé pour cuisiner et surtout très confortable. On recommande !

This stay was everything we wanted- relaxing, calm and a beautiful property. We did hikes near by and activities in the town. We really enjoyed exploring! I would love to come back!

Staying at the treehouse was such a unique experience! The treehouse actually has trees growing amongst the various decks and porches! There are so many windows with great views of the forest. I loved how cozy and clean it felt and we enjoyed all of the amenities (sauna, rain shower, hot tub bathtub). My kids enjoyed sleeping up in the loft. There are a lot of outdoor and screened in spaces that allowed us to spread out and relax. The gas fireplace is two sided and even heats one of the porches! I could see this being a nice place to stay in all seasons. Although the treehouse is not far (8 mins) from two substantial grocery stores, the site feels very private and peaceful. And MDI is so accessible as well. Thank you for sharing this memorable experience with us!

Cet endroit est vraiment à couper le soufle. Le cadre est splendide, nous nous sommes senti hors du temps, c'est relaxant. Nous avons échangés quelques mots avec la personne de l'accueil qui était très chaleureuse et généreuse. Les logements sont tout autant sublimes les uns que les autres. L'accès à la forêt est un petit plus très agréable car la plage est splendide. Cerise sur le gâteau, les logements sont respectueux de l'environnement. Je recommande.

The feeling of going into the treehouse, with the presentation from the host, really give me the feeling of one part of the disney world. It is a little pricey but I think it definitely worth the experience. The host is amazing. She tried to accommodate all our request and is just super helpful and nice all the time. Would definitely visit again.

Dave's treehouse is beautiful! Description was accurate! It was very clean and perfect for a quiet getaway! We loved our time there, we wished it didn't rain all weekend. We would have loved to enjoy time on the wrap around porch and hiking. Definitely going to have to make it back. Great place!

Absolutely loved the treehouse. The kitchen was ample, the bed very comfortable, and the living space was quite roomy considering we were in a house in a tree. The vibe of the house was so relaxed and peaceful, looking out the windows or hanging out on the deck among the treetops was delightful. This is not to mention so much great hiking in the area. We had a wonderful week!

The house is so cozy and cute really great for a small group of friends or for a family trip. Lexa is such an amazing host she responds quick and helped meet us with our special requests, overall just makes you feel welcome and taken care of. The photos don’t do the view justice it really is amazing just getting to look out and listen to all the bird singing in the morning. Overall would definitely recommend staying here even if it for just a one night getaway, we will for sure be back.

Wow, this treehouse was just amazing! Toni was an excellent host and really made our stay special. The lake was beautiful and the treehouse was so cozy. Even in mid October this was a great trip. The lobster pound and Acadia National Park are must see’s along with the Belfast farmers market. Our friends will be hearing about this place!

1000 characters isn’t enough to describe how incredible our time was at Zoe’s place. First off, Zoe is an amazing host and wonderful to deal with! She greets you as you come in and is lovely to chat with, she also has one of the best dogs I’ve ever seen. The place itself is immaculate and so special! It’s the perfect place to get away for a few days and just relax and recharge. Instantly felt peace while staring off into the woods from the balcony and at night time you can climb up onto the loft and gaze at the stars. Everything you need is provided and Zoe was kind enough to give recommendations for places to check out and local businesses to visit. There is sauna, it’s awesome. My fiancé and I will definitely be back and will be recommending this place to all our family and friends. Thanks again Zoe for being a great host and for designing and building such an amazing place for couples!

We had such a great time! John and Teail’s place was just as described and provided us with the nature refresh we needed. The cabin was nice and cozy and we loved being greeted by all the chickens!🐔

Had a great time! Heather was very responsive and answered all my questions. The treehouse and surrounding area was even more beautiful than the pictures. It was everything I expected and more! Will definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants an escape into the trees.

I did read many reviews before my visit and it’s 100% true that place looks better then pictures. Place is well organized and clean with 100% privacy and safety and peace. We would definitely visit again because there are too many places nearby to cover and this cabin it self is so good we didn’t wanted to leave but enjoy in cabin. My 2 pups had great time and I didn’t have to worry about them leaving the property since the cabin has separate gate which we can keep it close and there no other exit or entry to the cabin. Overall we just enjoyed our stay and we want to thank you Don for all the instructions and quick response for our requests .

Darby and her family were wonderful hosts! I booked her glamping tent as a belated birthday surprise for my partner who loves the outdoors. The farm is a truly special place, near Ringing Rocks Park and 5 mins from Pottstown, PA. The tent is nestled within trees that dot the outskirts of their field, which creates a lot of privacy but is also close enough to their home for them to be available if you need something. The tent itself is equipped with everything you need, although we ate all of our meals out so we didn’t try and cook. I love the ability to adjust the lighting in the tent— and the hot tub is so much fun! The location is just 1hour from Philly. Darby and her family were incredibly friendly and thoughtful. I mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday and they left a note and hung up a birthday banner! It’s the little things that make a stay special. We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning next season! 10/10 would recommend.

Excellent place for a getaway with equally wonderful hosts! The rock house was the perfect balance of serene nature while still having plenty of amenities to make it a comfortable stay. The surrounding forest feels enchanted and whimsical in the best way, and the easy access to the river was awesome! Sandy and Lou were incredibly kind hosts— very communicative and thoughtful. I can’t wait to visit again!!

This stay was one that me and my now fiancé will truly never forget. It was so beautiful and relaxing. From the views in the backyard, to the site seeing at skyline drive. We woke up each morning to the most wonderful view of the Shenandoah river, while listening to some awesome vinyl records! (left by the host). It was so romantic, I was able to propose right on the property. This will be an annual stay for us from here on out.

Place is amazing, great experience staying at a tree house. Great amenities as well, really enjoyed the sauna and jacuzzi. My partner and I, would come back again!
