Our beautiful shepherd's hut sits in four acres of secluded woodland in rural Hexhamshire. Enjoy the peaceful solitude, with glimpsed views through the mature oaks onto the North Pennines. Surrounded by miles of footpaths, bridleways and moorland, there are walking, cycling and riding options in every direction. Nearby rural pubs offer delicious local ales and fantastic food; or try some home raised, rare breed pork over the firepit grill, then a drink on the raised deck in the evening sun.

Dene Cottage is in Callaly, a quiet hamlet in the beautiful Northumberland countryside, 2 miles from the picturesque village of Whittingham and conveniently located between the towns of Alnwick and Rothbury (each 15 mins drive away). Nearest pub 5 miles, restaurant 5 miles, shop 5 miles. Public transport (bus) 2 miles away.

The cottage was previously owned by the Armstrong family owners of Craigside and Bambrugh Castle. In the past its been a post office and a sweet shop. Charlton Gate is an imposing two bedroomed, two bathroom detached Northumbrian Stone House set within the Newton Estate and surrounded by private gardens and stunning views. The house is a perfectly placed to explore the Northumberland National Dark Sky Park and Kielder Water, just 20 minutes away. The Boe Rigg restaurant and bar is a 10-minute stroll away and a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants can be found in the traditional market town of Bellingham just two miles away.

The Black Triangle Cabin

The Black Triangle Cabin is a peaceful getaway situated on our property just outside of Jedburgh, a historic town in the heart of the Scottish Borders. The Cabin sleeps 2 people in a king size bed, with a separate living/kitchen space boasting views through the woods and across the fields. If you keep an eye out, you may see the deer that pass through regularly, or even hear our resident owl. Ideally located only an hour from Edinburgh, Newcastle and the St Abbs coastline.

The Granary, Old Town Farm, Otterburn

The Granary is located on a working farm in the heart of Northumberland's International Dark Sky Park. It has kitchen/living area upstairs to make the most of the fabulous views. This cottage has access to a nearby EV car charger Changeover day for week- long stays is a Friday It is a perfect hideaway for two with a cosy log burning fire, original beams, real wood floors and a lovely flower-filled garden. Great for friends sharing too, having 2 separate bathrooms
