We had a great stay while house hunting in the area. Everything as described. Just understand that the lower driveway has a very steep incline. It would be nice if there were some type of concrete curb/barrier to mark when you are getting close to the edge for parking on both the top parking pad and at the bottom of the lower driveway.

We loved staying in the private one bedroom/one bath apartment in Janet’s home. Our stay was comfortable and easy. We had our own entrance and private patio to enjoy. Her home is at the end of the road and surrounded in trees and solitude and also only a short drive to amazing hikes. Janet is a super woman and wealth of knowledge having traveled and hiked all over the US and the world. Tap into her knowledge before you venture out on a trail. We look forward to seeing her again.

Beautiful home! We had a great stay in Fair Play. The house was perfect for our large group in town for a wedding. There was tons of space and fun things to do even in the winter time. Host was very responsive and friendly, check in was easy, and ample parking. Would recommend!

The cabin was a perfect get away in the National forest! The fire pit was a welcome amenity after a day of hiking in the chilly mist!

This was our second stay here- and it was just as wonderful as the first! Great location for fishing, rafting, hiking, and enjoying nature. We loved the local touches the owners have in the house and appreciate their very nice welcome book. Thank you for having us.

We took our family up for the Carolina vs Clemson football game. This house was perfectly located to the stadium! It was easy to get to and from. The rooms were spacious and clean! The common areas were perfect! We would definitely rent this house again! We were given the instructions regarding the rental well in advance of our arrival! It made everything smooth and easy! Thanks so much for making our stay that much more enjoyable!

Carolyn was as wonderful as her cabin & our time there! Check in/out was easy, directions were straightforward, responsiveness was almost immediate, and the cabin/surrounding woods/location was just a dream and everything we hoped for - complete with a fully stocked kitchen, firewood and kindling, hiking trails accessible straight from the property, extremely comfortable beds, a clean spacious bathroom, local art for sale on the walls, cozy details everywhere, a charming loft with movies, and more. I would 10/10 recommend taking the opportunity to stay here - and want to thank Carolyn and everyone else involved that helped make our mountain weekend getaway just perfect!

A group of five of us stayed for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. The location is very convenient to get to Main Street in the Highlands. The home was super cute and well stocked with everything that we needed. Owner was proactive with communicating and very accommodating to our needs. I highly recommend!
