Mill Race House

Millrace House, our newly built modern 4 bedroom getaway, situated within walking distance of the historic little town of Kilbeggan in Co. Westmeath. We chose the name of our house as a little mill race flows at the end of our garden from an old former corn mill next door. The River Brosna flows behind us also. A romantic old couple of swans can be seen here and a proud Heron, who sits on the riverbank every day waiting for his catch. You can't miss him! We hope you enjoy your stay here.

In Monasterevin, this memorable place is anything but ordinary. It’s fully wooden construction imported from Lithuania. It’s seasonal camping style (from March to November) overnight experience for adventurous people who are walking or cycling through our beautiful canal side area or just stopping by for few nights to discover County Kildare. Straddling the border between counties Tipperary and Offaly and only c.1km from the historic heritage town of Birr. The residence retains a host of original Georgian features. It was constructed around 1770 as a presbytery. The village of Riverstown is located within walking of Birr, a designated Irish Heritage Town and home to the reknowned Birr Castle.
