Devonport is a lovely seaside village surrounded by good walks, a great beach, excellent shops and a regular ferry service to the city. After a long trip I wanted to have a little space, quiet and me time before travelling around NZ. This place was just what I needed. The wee house is nestled in a sunny, green garden with the sound of birds tweeting away. It has a separate entrance and is very private. The place was spotless, had a good kitchen and an excellent shower. There’s plenty of storage space and a comfortable bed. Anne is a super friendly host and made me feel at home. Would I recommend this place to stay. Emphatically. Yes!

This is our second time to live here.We feel better that last time!Karin prepared milk and fruit for welcoming us when we got there.We had a really good time there ! We will miss Karin’s house and family!

Had a wonderful stay! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made me feel like part of the family. They were always friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location was convenient, with both the supermarket and metro station just a 15-minute walk away. The place itself was lovely. I would definitely recommend staying here!

It’s hard to find enough superlatives to describe our stay at Fiona’s. The apartment itself was superb with everything we needed for a 6 night stay. Fiona and her family were incredibly welcoming and helpful and the location was perfect for us as it was so incredibly close to the yacht club where we were attending a junior regatta. Despite being attached to the owners home, the apartment is very private and quiet. If we ever need to stay in Howick again there’s no question we would love to stay at Fiona’s again.

Amazing stay at Karen’s cabin. Feels very private behind their house with a cute small garden to sit behind the cabin. Very homely and spacious vibes for the size. Kitchen has everything you need to cook. Bathroom is very nice as well with washing machine if needed. Bedrooms are good sizes and have decent storage space as well. Karen really goes the extra mile to make you feel at home as well with the complimentary food and drinks. Would definitely stay again and not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Great stay. Simple but had everything we needed and was very clean and tidy. Nice to have 2 beds available. Although would be pretty cosy with 3 people. Brenda was very welcoming with food recommendations but also gave us space and privacy.

Raes home was stunning and so peaceful - perfect spot to relax and unwind between wedding festivities. It had everything we needed, even local produce to enjoy. Rae was really friendly and helpful, would definitely stay again.

nothing but amazing Helen and Jack were both so welcoming went above and beyond with all the extra touches loved the spa and the bed was so comfy loved also how they supplied everything I needed for my toddler have found my new go to place to stay whenever I'm in auckland next

Amazing location, just a few mins walk from Oneroa village, close to bus stops. Love that it's pet friendly. The cottage is basic, but clean and has everything you need.

We are two very active Canadian seniors who have travelled to NZ extensively. Milford, Auckland is our favorite, and Kelly and Terenzo provided a fantastic oasis for us; 50 yards from the beach. They were flexible regarding check in and provided us with usage of their BBQ during our two week stay. For us, this was a true Kiwi experience. Thank you for hosting us! Scott and Janice

This was the fourth time that my daughter and I have stayed at Jacqueline's place. We enjoy staying at her place for several reasons: it is a very aesthetically pleasing unit in a very peaceful location. Jacqueline and Aliva are very friendly and helpful. Restaurants, grocery and all other types of stores are easily reachable.

This was the perfect place to stay while in Auckland. The space was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities I needed. Gayleen was a responsive and welcoming host. I look forward to staying here again next time I’m in New Zealand. Thank you Gayleen!!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful Airbnb in Cockle Bay, Auckland. The place was absolutely spotless—clean, tidy, and exactly as shown in the photos. It completely matched our expectations and felt just like a home away from home. Our host, Sandy, was incredibly nice and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience even better. I will definitely book this place again next time I’m in Auckland. Highly recommended!

Very peaceful and quiet with character. We really only spent the nights there as we were visiting family in the neighborhood, but it was very well set up with a good kitchen and a very comfortable bed. I’m sorry we didn’t get the opportunity to meet the whole family as they sound very interesting

This was our second stay at Diana's cottage. Once again everything was very well done. We really appreciated all the extras provided, especially when one arrives in the evening. Diana is an excellent host and I would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful ambience, you just feel welcomed as soon as you enter the place. Despite being a 1 bedroom kitchen setup, the space feels comfortably big for 2 people. Vanessa had ensured the guests felt at home with all the bathroom, kitchen and self-care (body lotion, sunscreen, toothpaste etc.) essentials readily available. The coffee machine is a special touch, coffee is really nice. Overall, well thought of and well equipped cottage! The place is easy to gain access to, simple instructions make it even easier. Very close to the airport, on an average our travel time was ~12mins to the pick-up/drop-off area. Much recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable space to relax😃

Amazing stay at Kate's unit. It was as described and had everything thing that would be needed for several nights stay, clean and tidy unit all up. Kate was always available to help if needed

This is the perfect place for exploring Auckland and it's islands. Just a ferry ride to anywhere around. You can hire an ebike in town and bike Devonport area, or Auckland or Waiheke Island. Lots of nice bike paths. Get an AT Hop card and you're good to go. Candice's place is clean and comfy and quiet. She was so nice to let me check out after my long day of biking. Was fantastic to shower and collect myself for my next adventure!! Highly recommend!!

Guys: this is the place! We traveled through New Zealand for 6 weeks and were lucky to stay in a lot of great places with terrific hosts -- but Bruce and Jules and their Wild Thyme are huge standouts we will long remember. Here's why: 1.) location is excellent, you're just 10 minute walk to restaurants and shops in the island's biggest town, Oneroa, yet you're on a peaceful hillside above Little Oneroa beach. The beach itself is lovely, locals vibe, pizza truck and etc. 2.) the apartment is beautiful, very large for 2, killer deck and fully stocked kitchen and everything you could ask for and then some. 3.) best of all are Bruce and Jules, who are just the most delightful and helpful folks. They respect your privacy but are totally available to help in any way. And they're just good people who are a lot of fun. We're huge fans and you will be too. Enjoy!
