This is a elegant retreat on two levels including a large kitchen/dining room, downstairs bathroom and upstairs bedrooms and living area. For families there are child locks, stair gates, cot and high chair available upon request. Part of the downstairs is locked off for work space and will be in use through the day. Cosy Log Cabin in Aith, Shetland

Relax and recharge with the family in the peaceful and picturesque village of Aith. This is our family holiday home, close to our family in the quiet and friendly village of Aith, Shetland. It is a great location as the village has a shop, Leisure Centre, Harbour and Marina, play park and is a 5 minute walk to the fantastic ‘Michael’s Wood’. This award winning woodland and trail was planted by family in memory of our cousin and so is a really special place for us which we hope you will enjoy.

Waddle Self Catering

The Waddle is a traditional Shetland croft house, refurbished to offer a homely and comfortable stay for guests. Situated in a peaceful, quiet, remote location just over a mile from the nearby village of Walls, tucked in under the hill overlooking a sea-loch, it's a perfect place to enjoy Shetlands wildlife, scenery, peace and freedom. The Waddle is situated on an active croft. We have approximately 250 sheep with lambing in the spring, silage baling in the summer and feeding in the winter.

Aurora is a recently converted church in the picturesque village of Walls, aA great location to explore the rest of Shetland and ideally placed in the centre of the beautiful West Side. It can sleep up to eight people in four bedrooms. There is a spectacular open plan living/dining/kitchen area featuring church windows, glass and oak staircase and is open full height to the roof beams. The property is fully centrally heated and finished to a high standard. Parking for several vehicles.

East Biggins is perfectly situated on the island of Papa Stour with panoramic views of Shetlands rugged west coastline, The Island of Foula can also be seen in the distance and the aurora on a clear night. Although isolated, This cottage is cosy and the perfect place to explore this beautiful Island, full of nature at its best with thirty miles of beaches,caves,cliffs,seals,birds and otters and if you are really lucky you may see the Orca pass by in the sound of Papa from the cottage.

Renovated chapel with spectacular sea views

A stunning home from home, located on the beautiful island of Muckle Roe in the Shetland Islands – the perfect getaway. The award-winning Chapel has a spacious open plan living area with large windows exploiting the wonderful views and a wood burning stove for added comfort. The three bedrooms provide spacious accommodation for up to seven people. The enclosed garden with wooden decking is a fantastic spot for watching the rich wildlife – seals, orcas, porpoises, birds and otters.

Traditional crofter's cottage in peaceful Unst

A traditional Shetland Crofter's cottage in Baliasta, Unst, Shetland. Close by to the Loch of Cliff, near to the local shops and leisure centre. We absolutely love our little spot and enjoy opening it up to our many well-travelled guests. The cottage is very cosy, has a wood burning stove, and a good-sized garden. Please be aware though, that it is a very old house and as such has some rustic quirks. While we are happy to accommodate children please be aware all beds are doubles.

Just on the outskirts of Brae, within walking distance to the local supermarket, pubs, restaurants, fish and chip and Chinese takeaways. Garage, hairdressers, beauty salon, swimming pool and leisure centre close by. Plus the No. 23 Bus to Lerwick/Toft runs right past the door. Our outdoor seating area is perfect for relaxing and watching the sunset after an exhilarating day hiking and sightseeing.

With beautiful open views over Bain's Beach, you can enjoy life by the sea with all the modern comforts of the house has to offer, including a wood burning stove. Close to the BBC series 'Shetland 'Jimmy Perez' home', and minutes walk from the shops, restaurants and pubs in Lerwick, Sea Winds makes an excellent base to tour the isles.
