Century House - Thoresby Estate

Century House is situated just outside the entirely private and gated Estate village of Perlethorpe, situated at the heart of Thoresby Estate. Thoresby was one of the four country Ducal Estates which gave the nickname Dukeries to the area due to the high number of Dukes who lived in the area, and is still owned by the Pierrepont family today. Century House was built in 19th Century and was traditionally home to the Estate Land Agent with the last Agent leaving in 2019.

The Hut at Seven Acres

Situated on three acres of grassed field alongside a wild flower meadow, the hut offers a peaceful escape for those seeking a blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Hand-crafted from scratch by your host Dave, this shepherd's hut boasts a generous 9ft by 22ft footprint, larger than a standard shepherd’s hut. The hut offers the best of both worlds – a tranquil escape surrounded by nature, yet with the convenience of a village pub just a stone's throw away.

Barnaby’s Cottage

Surrounded by quaint villages the cottage is set within 25 acres and tennis court. A short drive to the historic towns of Newark and Southwell and the beautiful cathedral city of Lincoln. 20 minutes from the cottage are Sherwood Forest and the Robin Hood Centre and Clumber Park. Sheffield and Leeds are an hour away by car. The cottage features a wonderful moat and has private off road parking. Stabling and horse box parking available at an extra cost.

Outdoor pot washing facilities and dining area. A perfect off grid stay. Our smallholding has sheep, goats and chickens which graze often in the meadow depending on the season. Sherwood Forest and Sherwood Pines are all within walking/cycle distance.
