This home is a gem in disguise. The landscaping is absolutely beautiful. We came here for a week. It was a long drive from the San Jose international airport but well worth it. Very sweet local town. The people in the town are really nice. The food is absolutely delicious and clean. Ice cream is delicious. We had a wonderful vacation, celebrating our sister’s 60th birthday. We loved having the pool to relax at during the heat of the day. Great kitchen to make breakfast everyday. Grocery store is not far at all. The dog and 2 cats are so cute and sweet. Dieses Airbnb ist ein kleines Paradies auf Erden! Umgeben von üppigen Pflanzen fühlt man sich in dieser grünen Oase sofort wohl. Besonders gefiel uns die wunderschöne große Terrasse, die wir zum Essen und relaxen ausgiebig nutzten. Dank der Umzäunung und dem großen Tor kann man sich jederzeit sicher fühlen und ist auch für sich. Die Unterkunft ist am Rande von Puerto Viejo, sodass man an der Straße 256 in die Stadt oder zum Strand läuft. Alternativen wie Tuktuk oder einen Leih-Scooter machen die Sache einfacher und flexibler. Wie fast überall in Puorto hört man hauptsächlich tagsüber die Durchgangsstraße. Nachts ist kaum Verkehr. Jerome war ein ausgezeichneter und aufmerksamer Gastgeber – sympathisch, äußerst hilfsbereit und ein faszinierender Gesprächspartner. Wir sind schweren Herzens abgereist und empfehlen diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiter.

Daniel went above and beyond to make sure we had nothing short of an amazing stay here in Casa Cocles! Daniel was checking on us through the trip to make sure we knew of the local spots and must-visit areas. He also greeted us with some fresh cut fruit to munch which was very refreshing! The location is at a really convenient spot that allowed for worry-less travel between different activities. We ended up visiting the animal rescuer center, countless Puerto Viejo restaurants, Cahuita National Park, BriBri tribe territory, lots of beaches , etc and these all felt very accesible and easy to get to with or without a rental car. Some tours even offer to pick us up exactly at Casa Cocles for free! We were super grateful and happy with our stay, and will definitely be coming back here for future getaways!

The location was great, right on the beach.

Kenaki is absolutely gorgeous! It's steps to the beach, full of beautiful trees and plants, and we even saw a sloth and her baby on the property! We stayed for a month and we really felt comfortable in our temporary home. We had a cleaning service every day. We felt very safe leaving our expensive equipment at the lodge - computers & camera - as Isabelle and her family were often in the main house and our bungalow had an alarm on it. Isabelle and her family were very kind, amiable, attentive and prompt in fulfilling any requests we had. The only downside to the rental is that wifi is really terrible in that area. I had to work during my time there and almost never had wifi in the bungalow or even at the main lodge. We bought a hotspot to be able to get wifi using the cellular signal and even that was impossible with our Movistar hotspot. We ended up having to rent a car (since it's about a 15 min drive into town from Kenaki) and use the wifi in town every day to stay connected. If there had been more cellular connectivity or working wifi our stay would have been perfect. If this isn't an issue for you, and you're renting a car then I highly recommemd Kenaki and Isabelle.

We had an incredible, memorable stay at Maythemi, Kalani, and Kalil's home. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The house was spotless, nicely decorated with a charming island vibe, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved starting our mornings with coffee on the veranda overlooking the beautifully landscaped front yard. The beachside location was perfect with close proximity to Puerto Viejo and the magnificent area beaches, restaurants, and attractions. Our hosts were exceptional, they were delightful, always responsive to our needs and questions, and full of great recommendations for making the most of our vacation. This stay was amazing and we can't wait wait to get back to Maythemi, Kalani, and Kalili's slice of paradise in the future.

We had a wonderful stay in Punta Uva. The grounds around the home are lovely with jungle plants and little creatures. We loved mornings on the beach and coffee from the local coffee shop around the corner. So good! Unfortunately the waves were rough the whole time we were there so we didn't get to try any snorkeling. The road can also get busy with people but there was always enough beach space to play in the waves. The open air part of the home (kitchen etc) is very rustic but charming. We enjoyed the outdoor shower. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very nicely done and the ac was appreciated. We had a little trouble communicating with the caretakers on site though they were responsive once we got ahold of them. I recommend that you get a what's app conversation going when you check in so that the communication is easier. There are many restaurants in Cocles just up the road that are delicious and Puerto Viejo is a cute town to shop in and check out the black sand beach.

Súper recomendado, volvería a quedarme en ese lugar, las fotos son iguales al alojamiento, todo muy limpio y ordenado, además Gianluca es muy comunicativo y responde súper rápido. Nos facilitó mucho nuestro viaje ya que viajamos con una perrita y el se tornó muy cómodo con eso y muy amigable, además nos brindó mucha atención y nos recomendó lugares cercanos para ir, volvería sin pensarlo.

Tiene una excelente anfitriona, la ubicación es perfecta muy cerca de todo , centro , restaurantes, supermercados , las playas….

The place was great. Full kitchen and two big beds. Outside has a great pool and a seating/dining area. Strong wifi and good hot showers. We used the pool a lot and even though there are several houses close by, the fences and trees made it feel very private. Pool was serviced daily. The place is a little hard to locate, but we got very details instructions that included videos to ensure you found it. Parking was within a gate, so it felt very secure and safe to leave things in our vehicle. It’s not very close to town, but it is walkable (we had a small child with us so we elected to drive the few minutes). We would stay again.

The place was amazing!! Rotem and Lior let us know absolutely everything we could need to know prior to check in. They responded when we had questions very fast. When we needed new towels, we went out to eat and came back to new towels folded nicely on the table. I can’t recommend this place more.

Truly a magical stay. The openness of the upper level allowed us to experience the outdoors & the beautiful sounds of nature while still feeling very private. The house was well stocked with everything we needed.

Natacha was great and amazing with us !! She communicated well with us and helped us arrange anything we wanted to do or looking for. If we needed information about anything she was always accommodating us. She did not come back with just one recommendation but several. Always checking in on how we were doing, and if everything was OK, or if we needed anything. La Casa Del Mango was very clean and well organized. The amenities, awesome, well stocked with everything you would need. This whole place is amazing. Oh !! did I mention the pool, amazing. Oh !! did I mention Martin (Natacha husband) super nice, also amazing, Oh !! did I mention the wildlife, amazing. I can keep on going, and going, about La Casa Del Mango in a positive direction but I will end this review with saying that La casa definitely deserves 5 stars out of 5. Nope !!!! no negatives from our family vacation, would recommend to anyone.

Great location, convenient to Cahuita & Puerto Viejo. Great value for a whole house with a private pool and beautiful outdoor living space. We watched capuchins playing above the backyard and a toucan perched above the house one morning and we heard howler monkeys, as well. Check in was a little tricky because you have to meet the manager, Yordi, at the home for check-in, but he was very responsive to texts and was good to work with. The home had everything we needed. Water pressure was very poor in the master shower, but was great in the 2nd bath, so we just used that one. We loved the European style bedding. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Insuperable. Todo limpio, ordenado y la cocina está super bien equipada. Los anfitriones son lo más pura vida que uno se pueda imaginar. Los perritos lindos. El equilibrio entre la jungla y la comodidad son perfectos. ¡Quisiéramos quedarnos a vivir en esta casa jajaja! Volveremos.

Super buena atención, todo super bello y super cómodo. Las fotos son tal cual al lugar de forma presencial 😍, todo rajado super en perfectas condiciones. Karla un amor de persona y una atención super genial, definitivamente no hay quena alguna.

Es una casa acogedora, limpia ordenada, es a como lo muestran en las fotos, espacio grande, privacidad, alejado del ruido, ubicación estratégica para el descanso pero cerca de los centros de entretenimiento en Puerto Viejo y el anfitrión excelente, perfecta comunicación y muy atento a nuestra satisfacción.

Diese Unterkunft war atemberaubend! Einfach ein richtiger Dschungel-Traum! Morgens von den Brüllaffen geweckt zu werden und abends von den Dschungelgeräuschen einzuschlafen …das muss man mal erlebt haben! Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt und wollten eigentlich gar nicht mehr weiter reisen ;-) Richtig schön und gemütlich war es!

This place was a gem! So peaceful and absolutely ideal for families. The house was exactly as described and spotlessly clean. Martin was a fantastic host. We're already hoping to return soon!

La estadía en el alojamiento fue muy grata, tuvimos una buen recibimiento por parte de Juan Carlos, el alojamiento era completo y muy simpático, tenía todo; nos dio recomendaciones y tips para algunos lugares, la zona es tranquila y segura. Cerca a la playa y a varios restaurantes. Recomendado.

Magnifique maison lumineuse et spacieuse dans un quartier calme juste avant Puerto Viejo. Beau jardin. Accès facile. Il a bcp plu durant notre séjour mais le confort de la maison nous a permis de bien profiter malgré tout. Petite piscine mais fait bien le job pour les enfants et se rafraîchir après la plage. Playa negra a 2 min à pied, facile d’accès. On reviendra avec plaisir. Seul petit bémol: matelas un peu dures.
