There are plenty of friendly animals and maybe a freshly laid egg for breakfast. 45-50 minutes drive south from Christchurch city, 10 minutes east of state highway 1. The nearby villages boast outlets for local arts, crafts and antiques, and a fine swimming pool for the many hot summer days.

Sitting in the Spa Pool watching the clear night sky and the thousands of Stars is always my highlight.
