My family and I had the opportunity to stay at this chalet for over a month.  The location was beautiful, the sunsets were amazing, and the house was very clean. Upon arrival, it looked even better than the pictures!  We enjoyed strolls around the property (particularly to the secret creek), making bonfires, and sitting on the deck into the evenings to take in the expansive view.  The space itself was ideal for our needs, with two master suites providing comfort and privacy and a cozy loft space that was perfect for reading and streaming shows.  The full eat-in kitchen and big dining table were also well used. We highly recommend staying here and look forward to visiting again to see the seasons change and further explore the area!

We had a wonderful stay with our family! The property was beautiful and very private. The house was large and for the most part had everything we needed with the exception of towels. We traveled with 8 adults and 3 kids and there was not enough bathroom towels, and absolutely no kitchen towels to do dishes. The house was also very cold in the bedrooms and the thermostats were all locked so there was no way to adjust. They said they were set at 69-70 but it was more of 66 in the house at all times according to baby monitors. The washer also smelt really had of mold. However, despite these we had a great stay.

Very nice, spacious home with plenty of amenities. Loved the nice hot tub on the deck. Convenient location not too far from conveniences but still off the beaten track and away from the hustle and bustle.

This Airbnb far exceeded our expectations! The listing simply doesn't do it justice—it’s even better in person. The space was incredibly spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to relax and unwind. Nestled in the Shenandoah Mountains, the location is remote but offers a serene atmosphere with a babbling brook that truly allowed us to disconnect and recharge. We were so impressed with every detail and felt right at home. We're already planning to come back next year—this place is an absolute gem!

Connie is a great host and the 6-person house in Castleton was a wonderful retreat, just what we were looking for. The house was as fantastic as the photos show. Be sure to see their additional 'Grounds' photos on their website. The hottub was hot, clean and worked great (even in winter). During our visit, the donkey, miniponies, goats and ze-donkey were fun to watch grazing in the fields in the field on the other side of the backyard fence. Stargazing was great at night. A bbq grill was on back deck, and a propane tabletop social 'firepit' which was great for morning coffee hangout. A woodstove (& everything I need to get it started) was in the living room. We walked the paved 4+ mile loop to see more of their animals.

The views and peace are unmatched. Enjoyed the paved path to walk dinner off too! Very clean, great jacuzzi tub inside and hot tub outside. Very close to SNP. Full kitchen was nice. Deer entertained us every morning . Loved it all.

Lovely Airbnb in Sperryville with a peaceful, serene vibe. The place was clean and comfortable—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The owner was helpful, responsive, and graciously accommodated a special request we had. We loved our stay!

10/10 favorite AirBnB we’ve stayed in. My husband and I love the area for the amazing hiking, and have spent a lot of time at DuCard Winery. I can say with certainty now that this is the best place you will find if an escape with your well-behaved pup(s) is the goal! Ryan even left a handwritten note with goodies for us AND the pups, and everything was so clean, fresh and perfectly appointed. From the book collection to the game selection, the cozy robes and comfy bed, the fireplace (indoor AND outdoor) and obviously the hot tub, it was the ideal home away from home to unwind. The cherry on top was the size of the property and the privacy of it all to let the dogs explore while feeling like we had the world to ourselves for a few days. Other Airbnb standouts: great communications with host, easy check-in, everything exactly as listed. The stairs are definitely steep, but it’s a loft bedroom and matched what we expected from the photos. Truly can’t wait to go back!

A visit to Singing Springs, is like visiting an old friend or family member. Can't imagine a more welcoming experience to any Airbnb. If it was your first visit to an Airbnb, you woulod always compare the others to this one. The house, the furnishing and the locationare a significant part of the experience.

Beautiful villa in private peaceful surroundings. We loved chatting to Jack who was very welcoming, friendly and generous. We enjoyed our room very much and the breakfast that was cooked by Jack himself. We got a true B&B experience which is more and more rare to find these days. Good location to explore the Shenandoah from - we went to Luray caverns, skyline drive and Monticello - all within not too far driving distance.

What an incredible stay! The home was spotlessly clean—truly one of the cleanest Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in. Every detail was pristine, which made it feel so welcoming and comfortable. It was also beautifully and tastefully decorated, creating a cozy yet stylish atmosphere throughout. The outdoor space was just as impressive—peaceful, private, and perfect for relaxing. We especially loved the fenced-in hot tub area, which made it easy to unwind while our dogs stayed safe nearby. And the sauna was such a cool and unexpected bonus! The location is secluded enough to feel like a true escape, yet close to wineries, restaurants, and everything else you might need. Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish. We had the most relaxing weekend with family and friends—this place is a true gem. We can’t wait to return!

We had an unforgettable family vacation at "A Time to Chill". The name fits perfectly... lots of space for our family of five, great game room, super comfortable bedrooms, beautiful backyard, everything spotless and organized. We loved the fire pit with the star filled sky, having a barbecue dinner under the patio lights, and everyone enjoyed the hot tub! Top it off with the breathtaking views and hikes in the Shenandoah National Park, plenty of restaurants with good food, friendly folks, and fun places to sightsee. Every day we came "home" and enjoyed true family time with lots of laughs, sharing stories, hopes for the future and heartfelt prayers. Veronica was very responsive for all our questions. We will always treasure this vacation.

Jack's place is quiet, serene, and very cozy. My husband and I booked a last minute stay and we were immediately greeted by Jack and his hospitality. We had everything we needed during our stay and more! Jack even made us breakfast in the morning, which was delicious! We highly recommend his place if you're planning to visit Shenandoah National Forest!

Jack’s was my first Airbnb experience. I chose it because of great reviews and proximity to my brother’s residence 4 miles away. I was visiting him after his recent knee replacement. My mother used to live in the area and I’m familiar with the surrounding areas and beautiful mountain views. Another thing that sold me was the ‘waterfront view’. It’s so calming walking outside and hearing the ‘creek’(Roach River) flowing just a few feet away. This river runs through my mother’s former property. I’m a nature lover so this was the perfect spot for me. I enjoyed seeing and hearing birds and seeing butterflies along the river stream. I loved meeting Jack and girlfriend Maureen and her sweet dog Gracie. They were friendly and accommodating and I felt like I had known them forever. The home is beautifully decorated with lots to look at! My room was comfortable and spacious. Jack and Maureen are great cooks and graciously invited me to eat dinner with them! I hope to return in fall. Thanks!

The absolute best of AirBNB - amazing cabin, gorgeous views, everything worked perfectly, clean and cozy, and a very gracious host who could not have been more responsive to every question, combined with an onsite manager who was over-the-top helpful. Beautiful home in an amazing setting! The house had everything needed and the property was even better than the photos. Very quiet and private. Host was friendly and responsive. Can’t recommend enough!

Corey’s place is the perfect quiet and private getaway. We had a fantastic vacation here-the house was spotless, and the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to relax. Our pets absolutely loved exploring the spacious yard and lounging by the fire pits. Corey was incredibly friendly and super responsive, always quick to answer any questions and make sure we had everything we needed. We truly felt at home, and it was such a treat to find a spot that’s both pet-friendly and so well cared for. We’ll definitely be back the next time we visit Shenandoah National Park!

This was an awesome stay! The one thing I’d note is to be aware that when you book it’s in a wooded area. We had a run in with a harmless snake that got in the house, but were able to take care of it pretty quickly. There were also some hornets that got in the house. Just be aware that you’re in nature. I recently stayed at a cabin rental near the Shenandoah River, and I can't recommend it highly enough! The cabin was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by nature and providing a spacious yard for outdoor activities. Inside, the cabin was just as spacious and inviting. After a long day of hiking, exploring, and fishing, we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. It was the perfect way to unwind! The owners were incredibly responsive and kind. The gentleman went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction, with thoughtful gestures that made our stay even more special. Overall, I loved my experience and will definitely be visiting again. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, this is the place!

I would give it a 4.5 stars out of 5, but went with 5. We now will forever have an amazing memory that this stay provided for us. The hot tub was amazing, the views were amazing, the house was clean and the charcoal grill was nice. I wouldn’t recommend however coming with a small car due to the gravel road leading up, i’m sure it’s nice when it’s not raining but after rain can make it a little rough which is okay if you take it very slow! we brought an SUV so it was fine! Was well worth the haul. It is in the woods/mountains so expect bugs to get in, it’s normal. Some wasps were managing to get in, did my duty of killing them but not sure where they were coming from. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay though!
